Post by: angelsandair on August 12, 2008, 07:42:31 AM
For a cheap PC that can run AHII well? Thinking of getting my own so I can finally get my dad into it from his own computer.  :aok

I do not make recommendations.

To me, "cheap" translates to a bucket load of problems and issues over the life of the computer.  It may not be true, but I have always found that to be a good safe guard against building problems into a computer.

There may be others who will be able to help you here.

A friend of mine got a really cheap system for only like 250 or 300$$. Dont remember what kind it was, but it runs AHII on 60 FPS easily.

Angels in this life you will find you get what you pay for.

Pay for a bargain computer and you are going to get the cheapest computer its possible to make.
Your going to get older slower cpu, older slower ram, same for hard drive.

In short your getting the left over parts that no one else wanted.
There is a reason its cheap.

Now if you have a few parts and some patience, and can wait while you earn a few more dollars.
For 5-700 $ you can build a very good computer that will last you for years.
