This comes out of discussion of the SDKFZ 251 and its abilities elsewhere - it seems to me that in the next patch the current SDKFZ OBJ of 10 needs to be ratcheted down to at least 15 or 20. The Rockets are destructive, but aiming them is extremely difficult, you only have 6 and there is no way a SDKFZ is a more potent toolshed destroyer than say a B17.
Also with the current OBJ, capturing a field wins you less than half the perks you'd get from a capture with an M3. Considering the M3 is faster and the .50 cal is a more potent plane destroyer, this doesn't seem like the right balance.
Thanks!

does OBJ really influence the number of perks from a base capture? I'm not sure about that anymore, since I recently found out that for example the perk point bonus modifier in arena didn't have any influence on perks gained by supply runs too. Just made me wondering...
BTW, the SDKFZ can carry up to 30 rockets. Initial loadout + 4 sets of reloads.

I personly would like the SDKFZ with the pawk 43 75mm gun.

Yeah it does. Arena modifier last night was 1.33, killed 6 buildings and captured the base with a 251 for... 5.3 Perks. M3 would have been almost 4 times that.
You are right about the 30 rocket load, didn't take it into account since I'm usually carrying troops... Still, difficulty hitting target, plus difficulty getting to target should give it a higher number for the OBJ - somewhere much closer to the much more popular M3.

By dropping sufficient troops into the maproom, you're destroying the maproom object same as if you'd bombed it. OBJ is the multiplier (divisor?) that comes into play when you destroy objects. ENY is used versus a player.

Anyone have any good tips for aiming the rockets in this crate? I always seem to come up short or long with my salvos.

On green arena the OBJ for the 251 is 50 :D

Hi Ack,
Use the left antenna as your iron sight for aiming. As for range, I'm afraid that's a seat-of-the-pants kind of thing. Offline practice gives you a feel for how big buildings should be in order to hit them, but it's still a pain. Hence my request for the higher OBJ number.
Piece of advice though, for max building destruction, hit each building once then finish taking it down with the 7.9s.

I do the same thing just set salvo to 2 & stand back. Very fine line from blowing your self up & taking out a target.

What sort of range over flat ground do those rockets cover over flat ground?
Im guessing 1 to 2 K? :huh
I definitely need more practice in that crate.

Depends on the angle, I think the lower angle is something like d1.5 range though not sure what the range is on the higher angle.
