Preface: Prolly a 4 on the whiner scale.....
Last night a bish port was flashing (orange arena), and the hanger was down. So I upped an LA and flew across the bay as quick as I could. When I got there there was one LVT (the Cannon lvt) So I put some rounds into him.
Then I see another LVT appear on land, and start dumping his troops. I go in for the troops and he disappears. "You killed ------" Then he appears, and dumps 10 more, then gone again. "You Killed ------" This happend 6 or more times, and soon I was out of ammo. I bailed and ran to the map room. I took out as many troops as I could with the 45, though they were all running across the Port like an olympic event. Then the hanger popped, but with over 50+ troops running they got the base.
I think this is gaming the game, but since everyone can do it, I see no major issue there... But should we be able to dry spawn the LVT? Has that always been apart of the game? It was so frustrating watching that many troops from one guy in less than a minute or so.

It's part of the game. If the carrier is close enough to spawn dry, someone should have been able to kill it from the shore battery, unless the captain of the boat knows exactly where to put the CV.
-
Up a Tiger. I got 80 plus kills once. Even with some tardling who kept parking their lvt on top of me. ;)

Rgr that.
Do we think it should fixed, to where the LVT's actually have to drive into the field some before dropping troops? That's the gripe really; Up drop, land, repeat.

That first LVT had dropped the VH, so wasn't able to up a GV. :(

That is a bug in the map, which Map and Port was it?

Wrong....near enough every terrain has dry spawn point bases. Not every coastal base is dry spawn-able. It works on the north south axis only.
Every side can and does do it.....all's fair until it's amended.

Yea it was an island port... P113 (Bish), I believe in orange. Looks like this is commonplace, and as lynx said, will stand until amended.

My advice? ....Kill the CV BEFORE it gets so close in.
Helm ...out

My advice out dweeb the dweeb. Take a nikkie :)
I've seen this before except the field the troop zurg was trying to take was well defended. It was complete slaughter watching all those troops being eaten alive by wirbles, osties, and buzzing aircraft.
big donut <S> btw mathis

It's like that at almost every port. You can get the CV close enough and spawn feet dry.

Back at ya sir :salute

That new map in Orange allows for easy dry spawn & dumps on all the small port island bases. It's kinda lame, but just one more item on a long growing list of dweeby things that get done everyday.

kinda makes you wish for napalm or cluster bombs. Oh the horrrraw

There wasn't enough of us to keep up with the cv's last night, we were running between bases for the last hour and half i was on.
First thing we'd do is jump in the SB but most the time it was dead or about to be dead.

First thing I see that is wrong ...... " I Upped an LA " :O :D

It's one of the fastest planes on the deck... I rarely fly them unless I see the need.
