Title: Attack Toad
Post by: texasmom on August 16, 2008, 03:07:19 AM
We've got a group of toads that live underneath of some planters out in the back yard

My back porch is U-shaped, with benches at the mouth of each side.  I'm sitting on the bench next to the planters w/the toads.  Across the way, I see a little toad skirt all the way around the U trying to get over to the planters.  He stopped short of my bench... then a huge toad charged me from my side. I was so surprised that I jumped up... and the little toad made it safely across to his home.

I can just picture the conversation after getting back to the planters.

"They didn't mow the grass for like 2 weeks... why didn't you just cut across the grass?
"Why couldn't you have just waited another minute? She was almost done smoking, and then I wouldn't have had to put my warty butt on the line to get you home.
"No Sirrrreee Bob. That's it.  You're grounded. No going out without adult supervision."

this could be significant. I mean, the toads may be intelligent... have union cards like the frogs.

If so, we must attempt to communicate with the colony. Determine their capabilities.

...this could have implications on national security.

Be nice, be kind to your fellow toads.

Behind me stands five of there brothers and sisters, awaiting my timely death.
One lemon toad, two egyptian toads and two fire belly toads.

Use to have more, but they have passed with time.

Gotta love the lil' critters.

Remember they kill your pest and keep your gardens safe, should you dub them enemy, for shame unto your lack of understanding.

No disrespect intended for any party.

Good story texasmom  :salute

Exactly what kinda toads are those Badkarma?  Are they big ones, or little ones, & are they poisonous ones?
