Bring 'em on HTC!!

Some of those aircraft are pretty sexy!
But instead of adding new, let's just remodel the old ones.... Hey maybe the N1K? Since it's not easy to fly or anything! :D

What does being easy or hard to fly have to do with getting updated graphics? Nothing.
You're just an elitist jerk.

I don't see the need to respond like you have and maybe you are the person you saying he is, by your responce, :uhoh or is it deeper than that, maybe you think your opinion is the only one that counts. :rofl

Add the Yak-9D to that list.
-
Wasn't the Yak-9D the one with the vertically loaded bombs?
If so, it was a complete failure.
-
No, I don't think the Yak-9D even carried bombs.
-
Oh... it was the long range variant, then? I forget which one was the one with the weird bomb mechanism.
-
Yup, long range variant.
Half the reason that we don't have more Soviet aircraft is the lack of quality flight test data; the other half is the national origin of this game.
-
Add an early La-5 version to that list as well.

yes, the original model. I was hoping it may of been done when the re-did the LA's, but nothin. :(
Yak-9D would be interesting because actually adds some range to the VVS plane set.
-
Jeez, even the Luftwaffe guys are asking for more VVS planes :lol
-
We want to shoot them down. :aok
-
Yep, the more Eastern Front scenarios the better :aok
-
shortlist yak3, i16, tu-2, il10.
The mig and lagg would be neat to have but the others would definately see more usage.

Agreed, VVS is not represented very well. Adding ANYTHING VVS is a big plus to scenario's/FSO's/snapshots... etc

I am in on the entire list. Unsure on the Lagg though, as I do not know much about it. Info anyone?
-
Bring on the VVS planes, after the he-111 of course.
-
The LaGG-3 is basically the original La5/7. It had an inline engine.
With the La-5 two of the designers left (thus the lack of the GG), and the inline engine was swapped for a radial. In the La5FN we have further improvements were made, including a cutting down of the tail section, which finally brought the La5 up to par with contemporary Luftwaffe fighters.
Both the LaGG and the MiG were dogs, but they were very sexy aircraft.

Thanks for the info Motherland. I am in on this sexy dog too!

Which Russian Yak planes carried DT's? Which model's, rather.
-
I don't think any of them did. The 9D had huge wing tanks, though.

I am just sick of seeing people complain about the N1K2-J getting a very deserved facelift because they think it is beneath them. The N1K2-J routinely the #3 or #4 aircraft in the game and it was literally one of the very oldest polygons in the game, introduced in the beta for AH1. It needed to be updated and people whining about it not being worthy because it is "easymode" or "for n00bs" such are being elitist.

Really? Any other planes carry them at all?

Don't think so, only aircraft that the VVS used that could compliment DT's are lend-lease AC as far as I know.

Why you trying to hijack the thread dude? (http://www.snapshotgirlz.com/forum/images/smilies/import/focus.gif) We're not talking about me being better then you Mr. LastCentury registration date. We're talking about new planes that would want to be seen by who? The masses! A great bunch of planes I might add.

I will tell you this though... My humor about Little N1kky was meant jokingly, as I love that plane, but also to purposely upset you cupcake!
Oh yeah, and what does being easy or hard to fly or updated graphics have to do with the content of this thread? For such a long timer, you sure know how to hijack!

Anybody want to bet I lose my privi's here for a week? Some people are just so serious!!!

None they extended the internal tanks, long range yaks were given classification D or DD :D
Apparently the Yak-9DD had a longer range then the Pony.
<S>...-Gixer

well the mig3 did see extensive usage...but with no success (flying brick inside)
Yak-3 Pe-2 IL10 FTW
-
Russian pilots nicknamed the Lagg the "guaranteed varnished coffin" for it's horrendous survivability.
I don't think it would be an oft used aircraft. The MiG was at best a marginal improvement but both would be worthy additions for scenarios.
