Title: Iraq war soap-opera
Post by: DYNAMITE on August 19, 2008, 05:34:22 PM
This is not what you think... i'm not going to go on a 'liberal' rant.

No... this is "for real."  It seems that our friends over at ABC and All My Children want to "add realism" to their latest love interest/story line by holding an open casting call for a genuine OIF veteran.

On the other hand, it's nice to see them take the step to involve someone who was actually THERE, rather than use just what we get from the media.

You don't really think that anything real about "over there" is actually going to be in a soap opera do you??

Don't get me wrong, anything real is just going to get drowned out by the usual fluff, but I'm willing to at least give them marks for effort.
