Anyone been killed by their own puffy CV ack?
I was flying last night furballin with mondego, lilmak, and some others... I went to merge with a k4 and as we come around, my right wing gets blown off. He had no shot yet, and did not fire.
He said it might of been my CV puffy ack.... :eek:

Puffy strikes again. 3 times in one week auto puffy missed it's target and took half my wing off.

Yep, I've been hit by friendly AAAs and puffy ack all the time. Taking off on a capped field, when people try to deack, as ack fire and you flew pass those founds, it will get ya kill. Same goes for puffy ack. If you're fightin an enemy plane and puffy ack firing at it. It could also get ya.

"Friendly" puffy and auto ack doesn't aim for you, but if you get in the way...*boom*

Blew both my 109 wings off with no enemy in sight.. As i was falling down, i looked around and thought "What the hell?". Turned out a La7 was sneaking up on me and it got me instead..

Thats how it stated for me. 1 tour turns into 2, then 3, next thing a year latter it's still your main ride. :D

first time for me yesterday, took out my tiffy engine in one shot. only 1000yd away from friendly cv but at 180kts and 200' ye cannae break the laws ay physics so ditched :(

Hit by friendly strat puffy after 3-4 min fight and second chance kill shot in view :cry
I've even been hit by my own ack while taking off but never died.
CV ack never forgets BTW. Even if you go below 3k and fly well out of the action before attempting to gain alt, it will find you again no matter who's higher or closer to the CV. (for me anyway)
In fact it keeps firing at you until your out of maximum range which is (?)
15-20 miles in relation to cv and your alt

i lost 9 kills in a seafire few weeks ago flying cap over cv was 400d behind a lanc when BOOM ack blew me apart. :uhoh
