In my 262....
Spot a major B26 raid...12 boxes at least.
Go in....get two kills quick...
Turn around, dive in again....catch a little damage....
Turn back around...3K out....screen goes black....then "There has been an error" box pops up.
I lose all the perkies on a "There has been an error".
Nice.

This was no flying error/problem.
Stranger yet, I have not been discoed from any service, game, etc in many months. I can't remember a AH "game error" ever.
Weather hear was clear, no storms. ISP is less than 2 miles from me.
Very odd.

I guess there was enough frustration going on at HTC for someone to push the big red button :devil

That was no disco.
black screen and "There has been an error" = program crash

Where there any SAPP members flying at the time? I would look at them first, they like pulling this stuff and booting people from the game to deprive them of perks, especially if they are in a ME 262.

Do you have any custom sound packs installed? If so, delete the sounds for the 262 and try it again. If it happened during damage, than I would check the damage sounds also.
Try this offline if you wish to keep your perks.
-
It was the Russians...Putin sent out a packet to your ISP that when you upped a 262...and fired shots...20 seconds later..you get an error. It was the russians.

Thank you Mensa, I DO have a custom soundpack installed and was unaware of the possible link between that and a perk plane disco.
I will definitely do that and then test it out before taking one up again.
Thank you Mensa :salute
I know somebody would have the right answer.

Damn, I was hoping I'd be involved somehow...

I think that if you get one of those you shouldn't loose you points because no one shot you down. Now others Will see then they'll purposely do it. Well then there should be some way to distinguish between the diffrent type of disconnections

Sadly, there will not be any way for the program to tell the difference. Suddenly the server stops getting updates from a player... no way to tell why.

I'm guessing that was only funny to the b26s. :rofl
Feel your pain!

what internet service provider are you using?!i have qwest and i hate it

This can happen at any time a sound is played, if you are using a custom sound pack and that sound is messed up. If you check the forums, there have been multiple cases of people having this issue when they use flaps.
-
I get a white screen with the error message. A black screen means the computer decided to reboot completely. I get total computer freezes too.
Sound for one and three, I think and video for number two.
Would you have felt better if you would have collided with a bomber instead. It would probably be a collision model thread instead.
Personally, I prefer to auger or, better yet, get a pilot wound on the first pass and die as I'm repeatedly hitting the space bar as I roll out after landing.
Perks are easy to get back. I hear you can switch sides just before a map reset....

Your telling me you didn't remotely gain access to his PC and swap that 262 damage sound with one that would result in a game crash????
