I actually didn't join any branch yet. I plan to enlist in the U.S Army in 2010 ( due to non braces in BMT ). But i had completed a 22-week military oriented program called Youth Challenge Academy at Ft. Gordon. I just graduated 8/23/08.

Awesome, that is great, did you say hello to Barton field for me...I have a love/hate relationship with that field. Too many countless miles run there....ahh memories... Good luck with the military when you do join. Hopefully, Army but all the other branches are good, too.

Naa nothing to be ashamed of. Back in '94 my best friend and I decided to enlist together. The problem was he didn't graduate and had a record of some misdemeanors. I'm not sure how much they've lowered the enlistment requirements today, but that made him unacceptable back then. He chose to go through an identical program. This program focused on education and all things military. From what he said later, it was tougher than Basic. Long story short, as a result, completion of the program made him acceptable for military service. 14 years later he is still active (stationed in Hawaii, the turd). I have great respect for any young man or woman who goes through this program, as I've heard it's a real kick in the nuts. Anyone who completes it has earned the privilage of serving in the military in my eyes.
<S>talon. This ol' troop is proud of ya. Hooah.
