Title: CV/CRUISER GUNNER POSITION
Post by: Dadsguns on August 24, 2008, 03:09:09 PM
When destroying the ships that the gunner manning the positions on the CV and Cruiser: the system will display "PLAYERX has landed his kills".

Should the gunner still be able to automatically land his kills since he obviousley went down with the ship upon impact?

It would be realistic if he didnt land them at all, he died going down with the ship.

If this was implemented I think you'd see a trend of people abandoning their positions at the first sign of real trouble, leaving the ship undefended at a critical moment.

Isn't it true that kills from those gun positions have no impact upon a players score?

If that is the case, why deprive the players of an occaisional "name in lights" moment when they were actually spending their game time in defense of a CV group with no hopes of any reward (score) other then a possible "atta boy"?

Manning those guns gives you no "score" whatsoever.

It is imo tons of fun though. Sitting there plucking down guys from 5-10k away with the added bonus of a whinefest after you nail them  :D

Last night was runnin CV defence and there was a flight of p47's IB on it, so, at 9k I opened fire, my first shot took one down... and channel 200 was a blast  :aok
