Title: Congrats to the Map Team on New Tunisia Terrain! Simply awsome!
Post by: sparow on August 24, 2008, 08:13:39 PM
I would like to give my congratulations to the Map Team on his latest work: Tunisia Map. Excellent work (as usual)!!! Beautifully immersive, you can almost feel the fine sand entering our poor, Vokes-less Spitfires and Hurricanes!!!

BTW, great challenges await Allied pilots in this setup...Stick to the ortodox rules of flying in pairs, follow wingman tactics by the book or accept the fact that you will be cannon-fodder for well organized schwarms and rottes of 109-Es...

I am drifting...Back to topic, can't wait for your next super-job...

Congratulations, kudos et all,

<Salute>

You gents made me look.  Pilot Officer C. Junior of 1 PRU Squadron  Middle East Detachment was detailed to make an early morning flight  from A11 to check Axis armor build up to the south west.  Hopping in his pink Spitfire PR1G he proceeded at low level in hopes of blending into the terrain.

Spotting a recently built up Axis encampment, he rolled in

Thankfully the flak gunners were asleep, but he kept low just the same

Completing his run successfully and returning to base with the film showing lousy flak gunners, new buildings but no tanks.

OK so I was bored, and just felt like flying and checking out the Tunisia terrain.  Nice work gents.

Nice, indeed. One question, though: Are the soft guns set for only a couple seconds downtime?

I spent 15 or 20 minutes in an m8 driving to a vehicle base. Finally there and knock out one of the unmanned ack. Go to knock out the manned ack. Takes me a minute or two to get there and all of the sudden the ack I just destroyed starts up again and kills me.

Is that by accident or design?

Very nice terrain. I do like the fact that 90% of the shrubbery was painted in to the terrain, thus..increasing frame rates for us that use coal burners to play with.  :lol
