Title: WOOOOOOHOOO! I'm a Grandpa!

At 5:09am this morning my daughter gifted us with a grandaughter. Lil Zoey weighed in at 7lbs 2oz, has a great set of pipes, Mom and little one are both doing just great.

I nearly chewed my arm off.

I'm gonna enjoy being a grandpa.

Of remarkable note, she shares her birthday with her great grandpa... a heulva guy, born on a kitchen table in Hells Kitchen.. a gent that grew up and accomplished some great things. We celebrated Zoey's first and his 85th today. A fine day indeed.

Congrats !!
Now I have seen plenty of those "spoil them and then send them home" comments, well these leave out one very important grandparent thing. It should read" Spoil them, fill them full of sugar then send them home", that's a much better combination.
