Title: Nice converter program
Post by: mipoikel on August 26, 2008, 03:10:24 PM
I wanted to convert some quicktime movies to different format and asked help from a friend who works in animation business and he recommended nice FREE program called SUPER.

Yes, it is free and relatively easy to use..

"If you need a simple, yet very efficient tool to convert (encode) or play any Multimedia file"

http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

It is quite hard to find the download-link from their page so here it is http://www.erightsoft.info/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe

Not in the business of making film. I'm certain others will greatly appreciate the post, though! :aok

That download link got "buried" again under 4 pages of self-congratulating.

Here's the new link:

http://www.erightsoft.biz/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe

Downloading it now.

EDIT: Now that's not working either. They're taking great lengths to hide their product, this makes me wary.

Edit2: Some BS script is running on the page. The DL link only works if you go in manually and find it.

Is the link for this moved around or something.

I evenually found the following that at least downloaded. BTW they say don't use a download manager but I didn't check to see why.
http://www.erightsoft.org/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe (http://www.erightsoft.org/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe)
Cheers

Oh dear there is something about this site that does not allow a direct link to the download. The url above was the target for the file but if used directly just puts you back at square one so you have to trawl through several other pages and links to find the the right download! Now I see what Krusty meant!

Secret tips, bitte....

Now will this take the AH format and make it usable as another, or do you still have to convert and pray then use the other program?

NOTHING can convert from AH format, because AH is recorded in 3D.

WTH is going on with this program?

I downloaded it from the link Motley posted, well the setup now sits on my desktop, at 0 kb of size and I cannot delete it because the system tells me that some other user or program is using it... how the hell do I delete this file?

Ctrl-Alt-Delete, Processes, find it and end the process maybe?

I hope you can get the download to work, Gianlupo.  I d/l'd the program several months ago, updated it at least once, and I have to say it's danged handy.  I've never had it give me problems, and it's able to convert all sorts of file types. .Give it a chance, sounds like it's the download process itself that may be glitchy; the program should work fine, if my experience is anything to go on.

The interface is a bit quirky, true; not the typical UI that we're used to, but the guy who created this threw in a lot of capability.

FWIW,

There's something weird going on, and, despite negative antivirus and malware scan, I'm smelling poo.... I tried to download it again, always from the link Motley provided... well, when it asked if I wanted to overwrite the existing file I said yes, Firefox downloaded it again but, instead of overwriting, it created new files, a supersetup(2).exe and a supersetup(3).exe. All of them of 0 bytes of size. I can't delete any of them, not even after rebooting, because system keeps saying some program/user is using those files.... what the hell is going on?

1plus44, I'd like to try what you said, but the dang Windows will tell you that another program is using the file, not what program is using it... so I can't shut down anything!

The direct link only worked for me once after I followed all the other pages. I guess you have to use the top link and navigate you way to the download.

I considered trying Super a while back, but I'm wary that it's a trojan.  Their site makes me suspicious, and I checked around on the net.  A lot of people are suspicious of Super.  Some claim that it opens up ports that it shouldn't and does suspicious things, but of course it could just be ineptness or slopiness by the programmer, not malicious intent.  Who knows?  Anyway, I didn't end up installing it.

Neither did I, Brooke. I got to delete that file, in the end, through Ubuntu (thank God for dual boot!). Anyway, the file I downloaded was probably corrupted, I don't know if the real installer could have given me any trouble.

SHIFT+DELETE sends it to the nether world.  Bypasses the trash bind too.

Hi all!

If you got any files you are not allowed to delete, try Unlocker(freeware):

Why is this a sticky? I downloaded the above and its a program called AVS or something. It works but you have to buy it. Trial version has words on the movie.
Title: AHF extention files - having trouble
Post by: hwpelt on May 02, 2010, 07:28:07 PM
How do I view an .AHF film?  I've read  in the forum where I should be able to just click on it AH film viewer but I can't seem to find it.  Elsewhere it says it's just a text file and needs to be converted to .AVI or similar extentions to edit.  I just want to view my flights.   Any suggestions?

The program should be in your Aces High or HiTechCreations installation folder.  Just go there and look for a file "ahfilm" and launch it.  Then click open and you'll be taken to your "films" subfolder where you can open up saved .AHF files.
