I'm surprised this hasn't gotten any attention here yet. I saw it yesterday and I really thought there would be a few pages posted by now. Disturbingly I had to google it to find any reference today. I can remember when the White House would have issued a statement on such an incident.
It seems that a youth league pitcher in New Haven (I presume Ct.) has been banned from playing since he's got a great arm. Competing teams have even forfeited to avoid facing him and the League he's in has told him he can't play. His team has since been disbanded.
I've got to believe there's more to this story. But my heart tells me there's not.

It's typical of the tall poppy syndrome the world is facing. Were are doomed to a life of mediocrity, excellence will be discouraged lest we hurt somebodies feelings.
