Ok, you've won a your choice of one of three cars with registration, gas, insurance and taxes covered for 5 years. Pay your own dam tickes and whatever mods you wish to do. What one do you pick and why?
1. 09 GT-R
(http://www.hondaszeged.hu/cikkek/nissan2009gtr.jpg)
2.09 ZR-1
(http://jalopnik.com/cars/assets/resources/2007/12/2009%20Corvette%20ZR1%20Official.jpg)
3.09 SRT-10 ACR

For me its the viper. Why? V10 with potential of more power for about 5K with forced induction.
-
I like the Viper too... but would sell it immediately and use the duckets for something with armor, a gun mount and an entrenching tool.
-
Viper.. I'd race it and pay for the guns and stuff etc with the purse money :P
LMAO the GTR looks like a cubist portrait of a car when you're completely hosed.,
-
ZR1, 7:26 lap of tha ring. hells ya

-
ZR1 all the way. Smoking fast out of the box and nothing is more cheaply modded than a chevy. :aok
-
Love the Viper. :aok
-
The Vette without hesitation.
-
Re: the Viper's time around the ring (4" faster than the ZR1) : It looks like 4th gear ends at 164mph, 5th at 223, 6th at 360+ ...

What Steve said. The only thing that disturbs me is the poor production tolerances. Shouldn't be that way on such an expensive car. The Viper would be fun, provided it didn't break down on the way to the track. For as rare as a Hennesy Viper is, it's funny how many you could find broken down on Houston freeways. I don't see the ACR being any more reliable. I still like the R34 Skylines better than the new GT-R.
edit:
You should have made this an option :)
220hp suzuki hyabusa engine, 0-60 in 2.5, 0-100 in 4.9
and it's street legal :O
-
The Vette actually can keep up with the viper if not beat it in the race, funny it costs like 10000 less :noid
-
I mentioned a while back that the vette should be retired. I musta been drunk, 'cause boy was I wrong.
This vette is a monster folks and the viper wouldn't even provide it a decent snack.
RTR (eating a bit of crow) ;)

Owned.
-
I'd have GT-R that can be safely used on backroads (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mob3zLf5voQ) :aok

I suggest you look a bit closer at this particular viper.
Edit: and thats one for the gt-r anyone else?
-
I'd take the Viper just on looks.
If I was going to mod a car, it would be the Vette, cuz like Steve said, nothing mods cheaper than a Chevy.
But the Viper beats the Vette hands down on looks. :)
-
I wouldn't give two hoots about what kind it was. It's just a car... function over form any day. Paid for... good enough for me!
-
None of those ugly clumps of iron.
I'd get something cool instead.

1. 09 GT-R

fixed

the viper by far cause its the most hottest car ever!
plus it would sound way better then a vette
and every 1 has a vette, id pick a viper just cause you dont see as many on the road.
look up the viper venom, thats my dream car. goes 255 0-60 in 2.9 sec. plus it looks absolutly amazing.
-
I'd take the viper, then sell it, and use the money to get the bodywork done on my duster. :lol And with the remaining 80 grand or so, i'd buy a house.

Those Firebirds weren't an option. ;)
If we could choose classic muscle cars, I'd pick a 69 Z-28 with the 302 engine or a Barracuda with a 426 Hemi. :rock
-
Ah, OK.
Well then I would pick the one with the highest immediate resale value, sell it and take the money and go buy a '69 Firebird 400 convertible that was perfectly restored.
:D
-
Which one seats five and gets decent mileage?

That would be a sweet ride. :D
-
even for a jap car.... that first one is ugly.

Actually Toad, taking the most expensive one and selling it off might just net enough dough to buy a '69 ZL-1 Camaro with an aluminum 427 under the hood. If you could find one for sale that is, there was only 69 of them built. In '69 the ZL-1's were going for 8 grand +.
-

Neither... diddly passengers and mileage. :lol
-
assuming street car.....
AC Cobra 427 SC. one of the quickest and fastest regular production cars ever sold in the us.
69 Chevy Camaro RS Z28 302 4 speed. i don't know it's performance potential, but i had a customer that had one with 42k original miles(documented). if i had driven one of these when i was a teen, i'd be a chevy nut rather than a ford nut. smoothest shifting manual trans i ever felt. engine still pulling hard at 7,000rpm in 3rd gear......
08 mustang gt. cheaper than a vette, and close enough in performance that a few minor mods will help her eat the vettes for lunch :devil
-
none on the list choose again.
-
none on the list choose again.
i know.....to me the three i named will eat the three choices we were given alive. on top of that, they all look better too. :D
if i have to pick one of the listed ones, then it's the viper
-
ok.. take the datsun off the list and I will give an equal vote to the other two.
