Title: Requesting B-25H 75mm firing film footage
Post by: Krusty on August 29, 2008, 02:16:37 PM
I'd like some AH Film files of B-25Hs shooting things with the 75mm. Including long long range. Shooting CVs outside ack range, popping field guns outside ack range, attack run profiles on various tanks (what angle/speed/firing position), etc.

Anybody have anything like this?

Ok, well 2 questions:

a) could you please outline what you'll be using these films for?  I'm not trying to be nosy, it's just that at home I have loads, and loads, and loads of films (of which many are probably of B-25Hs  :D), so do you want ones with successful attacks, or not?  Also, I tend to do my 75mm shooting from quite close in, because I only recently became a B-25 addict.

b) how should I get these films to you?

P.S. if anyone has some good films like this, I'd be very interested as well  ;)

I think i can come out of temporary-leave and get me ole cannon running again.  I will normally attack anything from any distance, so i can get some films once i get a couple practice flights to warm up again. :D

What I'll be using them for is purely educational purposes on how successfully attacks in a B-25H are pulled off. How much lead, what angle, what speed, and I'd prefer .ahf so I can look at the instruments and adjust head position if needed.

I wanted to see who had any so I could get better.

I was hoping for a web link to download them, but can also e-mail them to me (zipped, within reasonable size limits, say 5MB) to mark (at) nakatomitower.com

Well this is a quick sortie i made, just attacking some PTs, but never got within 1K if i was firing.  Sorry only one i can upload for now, Bandwidth is too high.  Hope this helps some, just a warm up flight after about 2 weeks of almost no play.

Well i can start working on long range shooting as soon as i get AH installed.  Has been a bad week here, and i just had to re-format to kill a virus, so once everything is working i can get some more films.  Best shots i can remember are: 5K field gun, 1.5K Wirble (first hit killed), hit CV from 3-4K, and a plane from about 2K.  Not sure how "long range" you want but that should be easy enough to do.

Back in the skies soon :salute
