Title: Any Graphic's Designers mind helping ?
Post by: MjTalon on August 30, 2008, 06:03:54 AM
I'm looking to have a banner done for my squadron's website that i'm currently working on. I don't really know the dimension that it should be but does anyone have the time available to assist? Thanks!  :salute

Not a graphic designer by any means, but if you supply me with the screen shots I will be happy to make a banner for you and your squad. Just tell me what text you want. I make ours and over the years I have made many for Special Events.

Having said that there are several in the community that can go way beyond anything I can do for you. I suggest you seek them out.

There you go daddog, do you think you could make a banner which all of the jugs are visable? Text would be as followed:

' 368th Fighter Group '

If possible, could you make them in oldnewspaper font? Thanks!  :salute

"Official" banners are usually very specific sizes, expecially ones used for advertizing.  For your own personal squad site, you get all the leeway you want.

If you want the same banner to grace every page of your site, 600 pixels wide by 200 pixels high should do it--you could go with 300 pixels high but it will start to look "boxxy".

Having a banner over the exact same background on every page gives your site "continuity", meaning wherever you go, the site looks professionally the same.

Good Luck.
