Title: sort of AH related..cause I can't play it right now
Post by: lagger86 on August 30, 2008, 11:23:45 PM
So my computer decided to fail horribly. Not sure what the problem is, but I think it's fried. I was just doing the usual lame stuff I always do....and suddenly the screen froze, then it went into what I can only describe as digital slow motion static in various colors. I shut it down due to the fact I could not access anything. I restarted it and about 3 minutes later it did it again. I shut it off and opened it in safe mode.....same deal only it happened quicker. I shut it down again and then the blue light came on like it was gonna start to power up...then it shut off and started to power up again shut off started again....repeat repeat repeat. I unplugged it and when I plugged it in again it started to power up by itself only to shut down and power up again and shut down...weird.

there was no warning message nothing.... I'm on my old comp right now....at least the old girl still works.

I'm simply wondering if anyone has had this problem...or what it might be. I have a warrenty on it, so I can return it...but I will lose a lot of important stuff.

I'm sorry this isn't an AHII problem, but there are some really smart computer people that play this game...and I am certainly not one of them.

Overheat is an understatement for my card...it's fried. I removed it and the problem is solved.....I hope. What is the average life span for a video card anyway?
