Title: Can everyone cut it out?
Post by: SuBWaYCH on September 01, 2008, 10:40:21 PM
The back and forth bashing of the liberals and conservatives is really starting to get to me, and i"m probably not the only one.

Discussions is one thing, but the bashing just isn't right in my opinion. People have the right to there own opinions, respect them.

just IMHO.

Actually, in a shocking new study, researchers have discovered that up to 38% of Americans are not entitled to their opinions.  The scientific community was already reeling from a previous study which determined that dumb questions do indeed exist.

Yup. I gave up wasting money in bars, drugs, gambling and wenching. I've been house-broken, wipe my feet, wash my hands, do the laundry.

My last vice is stalking political lemmings.

*sigh*

and now this.... this is necessary work; like crushing commies and harassing gun grabbers.... renting space in the heads of societal failures.

would you deny an old man the dedication his few remaining years to the betterment of mankind for posterity??

Liberals should be bashed unapologetically and often.

I always find the liberal use of "Liberal" amusing. Unless your net worth is over $10m ish, you're either a Liberal or an idiot (whichever way you vote.)

i'm not sure it would. it would only be more political bs than we have now.

if third party candidates were ones with different outlooks, and actually wanted to change things, they wouldn't have the money to compete with these aholes we have now. if they had the money to compete with them, they'd be nothing more than a third version of these same aholes.

thats why US politics is so interesting for me, its like the perfect experiment - large sample size, essentially fixed political system for a couple of hundred years, very little effect from outside its borders. its like a political Petri dish :D

You know, subway, my first response was a joke, but what's evident from reading many of the replies here, and the O'club in general, is that respectful dialogue is anathema to their political point of view.  There are some exceptions, but this is the exact kind of mentality that both McCain and Obama say needs to change in America if our political process is to rise above a game of smoke and mirrors and character assassination.

If you want to see America change, start with yourself and be an example, but don't ever expect those who are only interested in fear mongering and ad hominem attacks to listen.

yeah, sure; lets encourage informants. I always liked the 'rat-fink' aspect of social engineering. "he has humiliated me by exposing to all my lack of knowledge on the subject.... and he has a better avatar than I do. I shall inform the authorities..."

well.. yeah.. we could all get along if....

we were all frigging insects.

If osamabinbiden and Mccain are both saying that we should all come together then...

They are both wrong.

I do not want to come together under his umbrella and he does not want to "come together" under my rules.

That is as it should be.. even to the point that when one or the other of us tries too hard to force the other we quit making mean and hurtful (and in this case tearful) remarks and start shooting.

Sometimes the only way to get your way is to kill the guy who would deprive you of it.

That is when you are allowed to weep.  Not until then.

wth is a metrosexual? :huh
Welcome to the 21st century.

An urban straight male ranging in age from late teens to mid 30's who is: good looking, stylish, fashionable, trendy, cultured, & well groomed. A metro sexual is very conscious about his image and looks in public. A metro sexual is often associated with getting manicures, facials, & massages, as well as using "products" and shopping at nice clothing stores. However, metro sexuals don't necessarily engage in each of these activities.

I personally think a metrosexual, in addition to the description above, also tends to not engage in politics at a level that requires thought and decision, but rather chooses the candidate based on peer pressure, media hype and "rock star" status.
