This has been brought up before, but I thought I'd mention it again. I've just been racing and thought, "I wonder if any squaddies are flying tonight." Of course, I'm not going to unhook my wheel and set up my stick just to check. Therefore, I won't bother flying. I would log in a ton more if I could look at a web page and see if my squaddies were on.

I've asked for this recently.
It will be good for new guys to see whether trainers are online and the wherabouts of squaddies. and to show how many more players AH has than other games :aok

1+44, look at who edited the quote and you'll get it :lol
I wouldn't mind seeing if my good friends are online through the website. I usually have it opened when I'm doing school anyways, so if I get bored I can always say "I wonder what 707 is doing", or "Is AApache on?", or any one of my many many frineds of AHII! :salute

This game (http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index.php?act=home) uses the described method. And this service (http://www.vatsim.net/data/who_vatsim.html) has a detailed list of everyone connected and which servers are online.
Certainly would be nice if AH had something similar. Perhaps a buddy list to top it all off?

Just jump into the lobby, do a .sr (or a .f of the non-squaddy friends) and if they are on, jump back out, hook up the stick, and come blow stuff up. Almost as good as a web site, where you'd probably have to check each arena, etc.

But still for each person who is not in your squad you have to do the .f game ID. I fly with a lot of people who are not in my squad and I would rather just go to a web site that has a supposed "buddy list" of all the people that I fly with.
