It was sir. Recent talking between the two CO's found it to be more beneficial to become a integral P47 unit with the 84th FS/78th FG.

Ah, well, maybe you should make it an FS?



FG's werent always only one plane. For example: 35FG had P-39s, P-38s, P-47s, P-51s, I think P-40s throughout the war, no particular squad flew the same thing. 39th FS flew the P-39, then P-38, then P-47 Razorback, then P-51. 40th FS flew the P-39D/K, then P-47D25, then P-51. Everything is very different.

the 78th FG flies the P-51D, P-47 (All models) and the P-38 family. Even though the 78th only flew the P-38G in the Early/Mid war.

You arent the only one, I've been trying to get together a group of people from Europe so we coud make a 'European wing' I guess you could say.
