Title: computer issues

Man what is it with my electronics..... Came home today, turned on PC, box was on but monitor was showing nothing but power was on....rebooted same thing, so pulled the plug on monitor put it back in ....all good. after start up however a box popped up stating sis dll module could not be found....no problem chuck the motherboard install disk in and reload.....where has my dvd drive gone....it has gone and I cant find it. I have removed, started, switched off and replaced the disc drive and still the pc doesn't find it....can anybody shed some light.... Not sure if there is anything I can put here for you to look at so let me know if there is.

Check connections and go to bios and see if it is there. I had the same thing happen and it was because the cd drive wasn't selected as a boot drive.

Try what Getback said.  When rebooting, get into your BIOS & CMOS and make sure the boot sequence is from you HDD.  Had it happen too and it was trying to boot from a floppy, which of course I didn't have.
