Title: Salute to Honored Foes
Post by: Bino on September 05, 2008, 11:50:43 PM
Lots of nail-biting, and urgent calls of "check it!" on the LW combat channels tonight.

It was great fun!  Thanks VVS!  :salute

The Blind Bats had the pleasure of mixing it up with the Arabian Knights around
A41 in our yak9Ts, we got some of them, they got some of us. All in all great opponants that flew masterfully.

Thanks to everyone who upped a Fencer Russian P-39 skin.  Since I went Axis I don't get to enjoy them as much anymore.  Was nice to see them in flight and on film. <S>

All I got was some shrapnel in my 109G-2's oil pan, forcing an emergency landing at A1... From a Rook base no less!  Yes, I said Rook.

Then the Yaks came in co-alt and had a time as we chased into a swarm of B-25's (always thought the Reds only had A-20's for some reason).  The Red buffs had a swarm of Yaks and P-39's escorting.  The 49th managed to damage several of the buffs, but the overwhelmong force of escorts wiped out all but two of our pilots at A1.

Excellent cover of those Buffs you Commies.

All in all, a good time was had, despite the losses.
