Title: Secret Word 2...

S! All!

just one thing reading the "new world" discussion title posted here.
When we login and open the clipboard we see exactly what's happening everywhere, we know exactly where are fields, bases, ports, HQs...ect till the far wild enemy country.
Think it as a sort of Age of Empires map, map's black and get "discovered" only where ariplanes, GV or CV travelled, and if you don't have a scout in enemy teritory, even if discovered, you wouldn't see any activity (dar band, enemy field under attack from third part ect..)

Just a thought :)

Well, it would add another aspect to the game and entice more people to join less popular roles. :aok

That would be cool to implement the fog of war (I think thats what you're talking about)


It would give a purpose to go scout in a P-51 or something. If you find one, you press the .location ### and it'll show where they appeared last for 1-2 minutes. (Ex. You see a formation of lancs: .location 1-1-1 and now, they're exposed.)

it seems like a fine idea but

once you fly somewhere is it able to be seen that whole tour, week, day??
i would just want to know how much of a hassel it will be to "unfog" everything everyday??
and it would probably be the same people everyday because of the times people are on

idk i still would enjoy seeing this in the game

great idea it would add a good aspect to the game that isnt there, cause the way the map is now, we MUST have spies and darn good ones to find the  HQ,and ppl wouldnt be able to acout the whole arena cause theyd be shot down b4 they could see much, and maby they have to land b4 the rest of the thir country would see  the 'new land'. and only the scouts country would see the new area not the 3rd country but still good idea :aok :aok :aok please add tis :pray

Think of it like this: You can see the map and bases, but not the enemy or who (Knit or rook) actually have the base/bases. You can explore to find enemy cons and stuff.

+1 to the idea that you ONLY get the information about where everything is if you land your aircraft.  That way you wouldn't get those scouts that find something and bail right away.

I'd like to see the discovered terrain stay there for a while.  I'd be willing to bet the whole map wouldn't ever get discovered in an entire map round, so I say leave what they find until the map changes.

Perhaps certain bases (bases on the front lines maybe?) show up automatically that way the game doesn't hit a lull because no one is scouting?

im kinda confused as to that,


but how many +1, yeses, etc... do we need before HTC puts this in?

it doesnt matter, HTC have always been headstrong, the choice will come down to them alone, community support can help them to see what the customers want, thats all we can do and thats how it should be.

Think of it like this, you're cruising around in a P-51D, you go scout a base, find enemy planes and radio them in ex. ".location <Sector>" until you land, people can only see the darbar above 2000 feet, and they can only see base flashes, after you land, they can see what they currently see right now. If you scout out 3 or 4 sectors, you get.... 5 Fighter perkies+perkies for any kills you land.

 i think thats getting a bit complicated. the whole fog of war untill flown over idea is best as a simple one, just in my opinion.

Thats what I was thinking, but there is always someone who wants to complicate it up.

What would be nice is a way to mark down where a CV is or it's general location. After X amount of minutes, you gotta do it again.

yup, i would love to have an excuse to start flying the AR234 a lot more than what i do

Sounds interesting, but i can see how this would get old very fast. It would anoy alot of people to have to unfog bases. This may be useful for snapshots or FSO.

Did a search for 'photo recon' and it looks like this has been suggested more times then the B29! I would love it especially if the unarmed Mossies and the cannon P51 (F6) were brought in to do the recon work but the perk reward would have to be high... very high.
