Title: Greatest Generations Generation
Post by: Wyld45 on September 07, 2008, 06:21:25 PM

Seeing the 911 theory post reminded me of a question that had often entered
my head, especially after reviewing much of our countrys morality and behaviour
and twisted ways of thinking over the past 20 years.

WWII was our finest moment, and it spawned many great men. This
being true, then what happened to the generations after? Did not the
"Greatest Generation" pass down to its next Generation all the ways
and beliefs that made their Grandfathers so great?

Possibly this decline began somewhere between Korea and Vietnam.

The largest generation of anti-war protesters were children of ww2 veterans - who told of the horrors of war..did not as a generation want their children to go through that hell..what parent does?
No surprise to me that the 60's was the way it was..

I'll go one further.  The generation that fought and won WWII also went through the great depression.  They saw all the worst that the world could throw at them.  The baby boom generation wanted for nothing.  They are the most spoiled Americans EVER.

I think the anti-war demonstrators had no such noble values.  They were into rebellion for rebellion's sake,
just like the current generation of brainiacs who think anything the government does is wrong.

Of course it takes actual effort to think about each issue and make a decision, it's much easier to be an
idealogue.  The funniest part of that way of thinking is that they have a tendency to call folks who don't
agree with their ideology sheep

Imho you cant blame any kids for this. Blame the parents. Of any given generation really. Flower power and Rock N Roll had its part im sure. If you want to blame anything else, then TV/Media would be good for starters, and globalization.

Possibly this decline began somewhere between Korea and Vietnam.

"The Greatest Generation" was created through roughly 15 years of fascisti and socialist training and indoctrination.  The hard times experienced by these people multiplied the effect of the government policies that influenced them.

The reason we see a decline is the fact that FDR (luckily) died.  After that, his policies did not continue.
