Yo yo.
Heres a question for you people who have a wife and or family. What would you do in life if ya didnt have wife/kids? Im bored like hell atm and i am planning my next long term trip abroad. But even traveling and being away for longer periods of time aint what it used to be when i was younger.
Looking for some inspiration in life really. And dont tell me to get a Wife/Kid. Im not that bored.

I'd start a world war 2 flight sim then get me a russian mail order bride... maybe buy me an RV-8 or somethin...
-
I'd probably come home, play Aces High and drink beer until 5 A.M.,just like I used to.
Now I'm married,my wife is 14 weeks pregnant, and I'm finding I have no time at all to play.

^ haha. If I wasn't in a serious relationship I'd put more effort into my music. I'm too happy to be bothered doing any more than I am now and I just don't have that bitter conviction I need to play the watermelon that I do. Perhaps try learning an instrument? Guitar is piss easy and you can teach yourself from home with ridiculous ease.

that 'haha' was directed at VWE's comment, sorry. I'm browsing on a phone and this BBS is rubbish on a phone.

Buy a Eurail pass ~ fly over there & take the train all over Europe. =)

Take a job flying tourists in Africa that I heard about. For a while anyway. The irony is that before met my wife. I was going nowhere. Now thanks to her. I have a wider circle of friends and have gone to all sorts of places and my career has taken off literally.
But if I was single and younger I would probably join the British army as an officer and end up in Afghanistan or Iraq. No point in joining the Irish army or Irish Air Corps. They're never sent to war although they do get to go overseas.
At my age though. I would probably settle for a job as a flight instructor and settle down in a small apartment, play AH and gradually drink myself to death from boredom. :uhoh Which is exactly where I was going when I met her.
Or I might do something really radical and out there which I had considered for a while..................

Ya would be nice, i live in europe, but only done a dozen of the countrys here, quite a few countrys i could stay for a longer time in i think. Like Spain, Portugal, Italy and perhaps Greece, But i think i would rather go back to Asia, its like completly different to what we got here, and i like that, but i did feel i had a Asia overdose at the end of my last trip.

Oh, if you live in Europe, then come here instead!
Arrive at New York, buy a 1960's hotrod, drive across the country on Route 66. Once you get to California, sell the car & fly home. =)

Don't join the Military. Just go there on your own... there's plenty of contract work, international aid organizations, construction, business opportunities... wasn't suggesting you join a military. Become part of something.. literally on the ground floor. Opportunity abounds out there! The babes are pretty hot, from what I hear, too. ;)

Be it cruise ships or the merchant navy I would be on the water some how some where. I just love the sound and feel of a ship steaming or even anchored for that matter.
