Post by: uberslet on September 08, 2008, 02:57:09 PM
I have a soundpack downloaded to my laptop, and when i extract the files from winRAR to the sounds folder in the AH folder, it says that the computer cannot recognie the pecified path. I tried it to the AH folder in general, and same thing. :furious :furious

Don't put the soundpack folder inside the sounds folder, replace it with the soundpack.  Make sure it is named Sounds.

You really should not be running a sound pack on a laptop.  The overhead is too high for the high bandwidth sounds in the custom sound packs.  The onboard sound chops for laptops are meant to conserve power so they have little hardware to actually help play sounds putting the burden on the CPU and memory bus.

I guess what your saying Skuz is that i have to deal with the normal sounds that came with the game?

It would be a better option for the sake of smooth gameplay.
