What plane do you seem to just have bad luck in all the time?
I've been trying out the C-Hog a bit, and it's a great plane! Fast, nimble, and above all its packin 4 20mm's. However, it seems every time I get in it I'm the enemies #1 target, and they'll do everything virtually possible to kill me. I've had niki's spraying all the ammo at me from 1.0K out, TYPHies attempting to ram me, and every plane pull as hard on the stick as humanly possible to get a shot in. Just today I was circling above a niki and spit making sure they didn't go after some friendlies trying to RTB to a nearby base (they sunk our CV). I will never know how, but the Spit climbed straight up from 2K to 8K and somehow was still faster than my F4U at 300mph. I've had Wirbles miss every shot on me at 200-800, and then somehow rip my tail off as I just get out of their range too!
I just have the worst luck in the F4U-1C

hmm.... It really depends. If I'm flying solo, just about any plane really. But, if I'm flying in pairs (Which I usually do) I'll usually do good in just about any plane. I think the best way to fight effectively is in pairs, have one person bait him, while the other goes for the kill, never stay more than 2k away from eachother in case one starts to get ganged.
Worst even in pairs is though, the P-39. When I up one, I prepare to fight 3-6 people.
-
me too latrobe. I also have bad luck in the 262 if i do 2 or more consectutive sorties, however i love her :cry lost all my perkies and had to start from scratch one day cuz of that luck :furious
-
Pick a plane, any plane. :lol

Pick a plane, any plane. :lol
OK
Let me see...................
I probably gotta say the 38. I have the worst luck in that, I always get ganged by a bunch of tards.
-
That's an easy one for me- when bad things happen I'm invariably in one of the F4U varients...

I think he meant bad things happen to you NOT the enemy !

Actually, someone said the 262, and I agree. :D Thats a plain fact :noid

You ride a perk I find you always become target one. When C-hogs are vulching a base with other aircraft I tend to sit in the manned ack & let the others slide by. How ever if I can nail a C-hog though :rock :rock :rock. Sorry.

I HO'd you 4 months ago SR, give it a rest... :lol

Id say 262.
1.5 range engine hits from gunners

262 without a doubt. Whatever can go wrong will go wrong.
-
Mine use to be the C-HOG, I'd die in the most bizarre ways. Now it's any P-38, 90% of my flights end in death.
-
The Mossie... I love the Mossie, but flying a big twin engine bird in the MA is great for one thing...Perfecting forcing overshoots, because everyone within a sector is going to be diving in for a go at you. There isn't a Niki dweeb alive that doesn't feel he's got a good chance of bringing you down with a long spray of 20mm from any angle...I love the plane but being attacked in an "ammo sponge" with that "extreme prejudice" makes for a harsh experience. If you think this is a joke and you only fly a single engine fighter, try taking a twin engine fighter up like the 38, 110, Mossie, etc. :O

The explanation should be self-evident. :P

Welcome to the everyday world of not flying a Spitfire. :rofl

If you're not flying a Spit 16, La-7, P-51D, or Niki in the MA, you are going to, without a doubt, have every single enemy plane on your six IN Spit 16's, La-7's, P-51D's, and Nikis yelling "MINE MINE MINE!"
:rofl

There's an easy way to change that:

Let's see... P-38J, P-38G, P-39D, B-25C, B-25H, ... hang on I need to open another tab so I can check my scores and see what else I've upped this tour.

dont get too excited, you're only one of 1000's over the years to cower behind the HO, I will just call bs eveytime I read a post of yours where you blow smoke like you know something. Does that bother you, expert? :aok

262
-
262 hands down. I either disco, auger, or snap a wing off at the slightest control input every sortie.
-
my bad luck plane is the a20.
-
Spitty any spitty from the pink one to the green one doesnt matter which it is, As soon as the gear leaves the ground i start writeing my farwell letter home :cry
-
I would have to say 262. Every time I up a 262 I usually never bring it home. I remember one time, took up a 262 for a furball at A63. As soon as I upped it, I think AoM had a 262 mission inbound to us. There were like 15 enemy 262s flying around taking shots at my helpless 262 that just got air borne :(
-
I truly love all the Spits(1,5,Seafire,8,9,16,14)! However, the Spit 9 eludes me. I auger. I spin out of control. I die a lot. Bad luck? I like to think so! Do not get me started on the 262. I can fly it. I can get kills in it. I have never landed one. This has got to be bad luck.

Yaks.
Yakkitty Yak, don't talk back.

So basically you're saying you suck 1v1 but kick arse flying in a horde. Sounds about right.

P51-D

Any proxy plane that attracts attention more then most. Although I landed 5 kills in a Me-262 last week.
-
P51-D
Sure Steve :rofl any plane low and slow, for somereason thats ringing the dinner bell :P
-
Just my ezpierence, but when ever i do a 262 (for the most part) it comes out wonderful, may not bag 3 or 4 kills, but i use my ammo to its fullest, fuel to its fullst and land her gorgeously. I find it one of my better luck planes, uber plane, uber perk cost. Im not sayin this is for everyone, but im sayin its just for me.
In my first post i forgot to mention zeke's. everytime im in them i have people gangin me, and it seems 1 .50 takes my wing off or sets me on fire :cry
-
I keep trying to get a good kill in a c-47 but my guns must jam easily i cant get a shot off, that is my bad luck bird by far.

No, but you're ego is the biggest in the game. When you call me for HO'ing you once when people have done it time and time again and you havent complained about it is just sad.... Is it because I'm the only person who responds to your sad childish rants on 200? Or does it bother you that I'm actually entertained by your rants, so I'll just respond to see more and more.

you're ego is the biggest in the game.
thank you.

thank you.
Sadly though, it only falls just ahead of your whines CryRock :)

F4U4 but methinks this is more a function of overconfidence in the aircraft's performance---> leading to sloppier flying...

Yea same idea but me in a Tempest, I can spiral climb some people all day in it but then I get too greedy or too cocky and go low and well I start screaming and cussing and ranting on 200 but dont take it serious im just blowing steam :rock

ALWAYS go with a "Battle-Buddy".

163

Any P-47

262, get shot down by bombers, auger, blackout and whatever else you can think of...

Yaks.
Yakkitty Yak, don't talk back.
i use yaks for attacking gvs only.

TYPHies attempting to ram me,
:D

My bad luck plane changes on a regular basis. For awhile it was the P-47, much as I love it. But I couldnt bring it anywhere near an enemy without getting shot in main fuel. Then once I actually had 5 ATA kills to land, "which is good for me", and I was flying home anticipating my humble moment when I Landed them, "No please, I couldnt have done it without all of you".
So what happens? I was in mountains and didnt see the stupid choo-choo train with its ack guns coming up on me. I got shot down by a choo-choo train. :huh Thats the kinda luck I had with Jugs, tho now things are a bit better.
-
262 all the way.

When you drop your tank (If you take 75%) press 'shift-F' and you'll have a couple extra minutes on Auxilary. But you probably already know that. :aok
