I hope you all enjoy and maybe this will set some of you silly northerners straight about what BBQ is.

Doesn't NC stand for NORTH Carolina?
Do people from South Carolina consider you a northerner?
-
South Carolina is an odd place.
-
You may have your BBQ's, but I still have my brats.
-
I live in an apartment in NYC... I have neither! :cry
-
I know what BBQ is. I also know about hush puppies, grits, black-eyed peas, AND sweet potato pie.
(Ft. Jackson,
Ft. Gordon,
Ft. Benning, Ft. Polk)
But.......
You silly Southerners STILL do not know what a cheesesteak is, nor how to properly construct one.
:salute

:rofl :rofl :rofl That was great!
"Is Florida a southern state?" "No, it's not!"
LMAO!!!!

We are the 2nd home to Ohioans and filling up quick with retirees from NY and NJ.
http://gobacktoohio.com/ (http://gobacktoohio.com/) <---- moderately funny if you're from SC

That's because Cuban's took over Florida and the realtors are all jewish. The retiring east coast baby boomers are forced to move north from FL to SC.

BBQ is not a verb...
and double funny was using California state outline when talking about Florida

Mayo on bbq, no thank you!

Making beef or pork smoked BBQ without fried okra is an imprisonable offence in many areas.
Otherwise it's coleslaw, baked beans, hushpuppies, and greens.

I knew we could agree on something eventually! <S>

Sonny's real pit BBQ in Florida, and their baked beans are also great, they give you the sauce on the side because their ribs really don't need any.
-
Florida isn't part of the south and as such does not understand BBQ

Oh yeah! Forgot about the greens, too.
How many yankees do y'all know that have these babies growing in their garden?

OK,
This time I'll let it pass, no one mentioned BEER with the BBQ. I am shocked and dismayed by this lack of understanding of the universe.
May it never happen again. :aok
-
Don't need to. It's in my sig. :aok
I have beer for any meal, and if I don't, I make it. :D

lol. We don't mention it here in Texas because it's a given. If you don't have beer you might as well not have the meat or the bbq pit :D

I actually have a spiced ale that I made (coriander, pepper, garlic, blah blah) including some hot peppers.
I know it sounds gross, and yes, it has a pretty warm finish (burning bunghole)
It is drinkable, but definitely MUST be paired with a meal.
Otherwise, it is the best marinade I've ever used :D
