I have had this card since mid may when I built my maching with this card and an e8400. Have not had one glitch since I built it. I paid close to 200 bucks when I got mine tho :furious
Here is the edit I am doing to add the specs of the one I have. Looks like the one you have picked has a higher clock speed for one thing.

I would get Rondar's EVGA card since EVGA cards come with a lifetime warranty (once you register on their site). Plus they offer the step-up program.

I dont know what MB you have but the EVGA board was also backward compatible with PCIe 1.0 on the ASUS P5N-E which most PCIe 2.0 cards should be. Im not familiar with Zotac having only experienced ASUS PNY XFX and EVGA with no disappointment from any of them.

The Zotac card should work also but I cant cite anything saying it will. I was lucky to find my specific MB and the evga card I linked above on a review site so I knew it worked ahead of time. I do see users saying they have it working with 4850s and such so not too much worries I would say.

All of the PCIe x16 2.0 cards are back compatible with 1.0 slots and all 1.0 cards are forward compatible with 2.0 slots with very very rare exceptions.
The 8800 GT's not a problem.
That's a reasonable deal but as Fulmer said, the EVGA cards have a lifetime warrantee and a 30 day upgrade (pay only the difference) program.
That's also a factory overclocked card. You could take the standard card and overclock it yourself and save a litte but with you'de probably void the warrantee where the factory OC'd card would have the full warrantee. Something to consider.

I wish someone would point out those very very rare exceptions. Its like shopping in a glasswares shop while riding a mule hearing these rumors and never knowing the culprits!
