Check this out, it has the whole set of the 5th AF and the planes they used in WW2. I really really like it IMO. :rock :aok

Right now, I'm trying to find out some info on some of the planes, if someone could help me out. :(
If you could, go to 35FG and look at the P-47s, there is a Razorback with the same tail marking as the original P-47 of the 40FS. And the P-51s are interesting too.
(the original squad leader of the 40th FS had his own specail P-47, I just dont remember what one it was :( )

please?

Any site with profiles, needs to be backed up with actual photos. Some of the profiles are inaccurate just from looking breifly.
I think the other thing that plays into skinner's thinking, is when guys start asking for specific squadron skins, whill that squadron be around after a couple of months. There have been a number of skinners who took the time to do skins for squads, that then ceased to exist before the skins got accepted.

We're in for the long run, and we're almost full. I've been told that there was another 40FS P-47D25 skin that I have been looking for. I was thinking about trying to skin that myself...

best thing for you to do is post a picture or profile of the skin
that you would like to be done.

Well, there was a certain OTHER design of a 40th FS D-25 Jug. But, I found a pic of it once, and I couldn't find it again. It was a 3d model of it from an old Sim. I think WB.
Edit: I found it, lucky me.

P-47D-25-RE 42-28210 "My Baby" of Capt. Alvaro J. Hunter (5 kills), CO 40th FS/35th FG, Pitoe on Morotai islands, December 1944-January 1945.
So it's definately a historic skin, but I can only find this of it so far. I'll keep looking...
(anyone know of any good P-47 model making sights or something along those lines?)

I think I found another pic. My last post has all the info, and I think this is the same thing.

I wish I knew of a way to track the Jug. The animated picture HAS the information on it.

this plane is similar and has been submitted(http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb251/rogerdee-skins/39th2.jpg)

Yea, but I'm almost certain that they're the same planes now. The first 2 pics I posted up. I looked at them closely, and everything resembles except the side of it.
