Nice job on that 38
:)

:salute good work gentlemen :aok

Looks about fair to me.I bet the rook almost got em all.

Lippy seems kind of low, he must be landing. ;) :lol

I claim this picture in the name of SAPP.

I'm pretty sure thats my 38, I "landed" a lot of them like that last night :(
The knight horde was in full swing. Had they used their numbers "tactically" in stead of in brute force I think it would have been much more fun all around. I don't understand how people can enjoy flying in a horde like that. Well for me its even worst as I work to get that great up close shot, and more often than not miss. In a group of 3 guys I stand very little chance getting the kill, let alone horde type numbers.
Sure they kept taking bases from the rooks but they were going to do that anyway.....like we know how to defend  but had they spread out the attack to a few bases it would have made the challange of getting bases a bit harder (not by much vs us rooks), but it would have also increased the cances of the horde to get more kills, and yes maybe get killed more, but those fights would have been much more fun.
Ahhh well, another night of getting cherry picked while trying to turn fight with zeros or spits in a furball.

I am the first to holler out on range to countrymen everytime I see this situation "Hey do any of you need help with that 38?" :rofl
-
So it took that many to down Guppy? ;)
-
It was a pathetic effort on the part of the nits. Some of our guys kept closing bases and then not capturing them, over and over again. Then there were the ones who couldn't resist vultching guys otr at A110 and ruined it within a minute. And yes, I did hear plenty of "wtg's" from 5 vs 1 matchups. :rofl I tried to say something on a few occasions and got "waaa" on vox. :( I think I'll stay away on Saturday nights.
edit: the real whines were from knights on country channel moaning and griping about ENY. There were, I think, 130 knights, 90 rooks, and 65 bish.

#'s like that are when you typically see me changing arenas or countries.

The only thing I can't figure out is the absence of a ENY complaint on Nit range channel :rofl

king of the clouds only comes down to land, vulch, or cherry, avoiding actual fights at all cost.

Nice horde.

Wow what a picture , however it sure wasn't that way in the other arena where Knights had the extreme reverse and it was 107 Bish 90 Rook and 61 Knights , I had just as good a time in Blue out numbered and barely holding onto bases .
However it can still be fun .

Its the funniest thing about the shot...
Hope you have better luck next time gavagi, just don't let the lame horde ruin your boom & zoom adventures.
-
Oh yeah, I'm a boom'n'zoom demon in the 109G-6, and from 7k ft no less. :rofl
-
In the shot you posted, are you not above the horde poised for you're classic B&Z pass? If not then I am sorry... so sorry.
-
Nah, don't worry about it. I deserve it for posting a pic of my countrymen...shall we say, compromised. :P
Without being there it would be hard to know the situation. I was omw to A110 from P108 (not long after takeoff), and happened to spot that gang bang below and to my left. At the same time, there were higher rooks inbound from the East; I could see their dots in the distance. That's what really pleased me about the whole scenario, plenty of high bandits inbound and ~8 knights on one low and slow, hopeless 38.
Don't get me wrong, I pick with the best of them, but I do my best not to be the 3rd or 4th guy on a bandit.

I respect that. :aok

Agreed. Had a blast last night defending against a Rook onslaught last night in blue. Can't remember the base, but they were attacking from a pair of CV's. It was a close run thing - they had the town down, and had troops running on three separate occasions, but we somehow managed to hold on.
One thing I noticed during it all - there was much less ho-ing and vulching from the attacking guys than normal for the MA so <S> to you all for that. Hope it was the same from your perspective.

Yay! I'm in the screenshot...in my 25 eny superplane (f4u-1). The interesting part with the 7 guys in close trail on the 38 is that we was in that position for well over a minute before someone put him down. When they passed under me the 38 had a fuel leak and was scissoring to the deck (i was around 4-5k in a circling climb). The 38 made several nice turns and reversals before going down. :noid

aha  really annoys me this, happens all the time. meanwhile I'll be at 10k desperately climbing up to meet the incoming 15k cons. if I survive the next 5 mins, I'll have drained the E out of 2 or 3 of them enough that my fellow countrymen can pick them at will, and then get nailed by the next 2 or 3 high bandits...
big numbers dont seem to happen that often for nits so I guess we're not used to it. someone logged in and typed "so were beind scr*wed by ENY again :/" I checked and max was 12... :huh

I actually love seeing numbers like that every now and again. Since I could really care less about the cartoon real estate and it makes tempests and 262s cheap enough to simply throw away into the horde.
Looks like your in a 262 yourself!

Say, "Hi!" to Catfish for me.
