Title: Breaking out (Proud father moment)
Post by: Ripsnort on September 14, 2008, 08:53:13 AM
I don't talk much about my youngest son, who is the mirror opposite of my oldest, both athletically (not a "natural") and personality. He's got a passive personality, very sensitive, smarter than a whip. Always finishes in the "Above grade level expectations" on his report cards (they don't use letter grades until 5th grade) That's the equivelent of straight A's. Not naturally athletic, he really has to work at it.

He has played soccer and flag football for 4 years. This year he was picked to play on a select soccer team, who's current coach watched him mature on a sub-par team over the past 4 years.  Reilly never got many opportunities to score goals in past years because frankly, his previous team sucked. They were literally always on defense.

After weeks of hard practice with his new team, his coach got to witness his "new wheels" on the field. Reilly scored 7 of the 9 goals his team scored. Final score 9-3. His break out year, athletically speaking, is this year.

WTG Reilly, your parents are damned proud of you  :rock

A few pics the wife snapped on her camera yesterday, as I had to take one of the boys to his football game, and the wife took the other to his respective game. This will be the only game I'll miss this year hopefully.

Rip,

Begin not quite so serious attempt at psychoanalysis and liberal-style meddling

You've spent a lot of time/effort photographing your other kid, and this one only gets some snappies taken by Mom?  Come one, show some pride in all your kids.  Heck, take professional pics of the kid doing his math homework if that's what he's good at.  The poor guy must think you don't like him...

End jumping to conclusions and meddling based on a complete lack of info and probable incorrect grasp of the real situation

:)

But you don't post them here.  That's why I'm flipping you crap over something that isn't true :)
