In the DA, MA, TA and well all the Arena's! I hear allot of not complaining from people! When it comes to the different planes that people fly! I hear well I would of one if you weren't in a spit, or I would of one if you weren't in a F4U, or a Zeke, the list goes on. It doesn't matter what plane your in someones always complaining! I want to start this topic because I really wonder why people do say these things. For Example If your a p47 pilot and you get low a slow with a Zeke under some bad judgement why is that someone Else's fault? My view is that it's not the other persons fault( the person who wins) What plane the looser is flying! So If you can't fly that plane well why comlain? All so Use the plane that your in to it's strengths. If you are low and slow in a plane that doesn't do that well don't attack something that does! I'm just saying in any example wether its low and slow or attacking a plane that's way faster and better at high altitudes, think people shouldn't be blaming each other for there own mistakes! ( this is not written to start a war with anyone so P47 pilots I'm just using you as a example)
So I kinda want to take a poll from people and see what people think. Do you Think that A spit or a Zeke because of its easier nature to fly is unfair to people who find Flying the p51 or p47 or p38 more of a challenge and more of what they say a mans plane!?
Or do you think (Like me) That a plane is a plane and if you can't fly the plane that your in well or stick yourself in a bad situation you shouldn't start blaming the other pilot if you lose!
Again this wasn't posted to start calling each other names this was posted to hear serious thoughts about the subject!

Fly what you like and let the whine fall where it may.

I agree with this! Just been getting allot of guff lately and wanted to have a place for people to whine so i don't have to hear as much in the arena's ..... hopefully LOL!

Noble intent, but if there is one thing I have learned, whining actually only begets more whining.
Those that will whine here will still whine about it in the MAs. Just a fact to be understood.
Oh, yeah, and what Bronk said.

I think most of your post is pretty reasonable, but I don't think a Zeke is easy to fly at all. It's too slow and the controls get real stiff at medium speeds.
Second, I don't agree with the way you pose the question as being about fairness. I think there are those who want a challenge and those that do not. For a beginner, getting kills in any plane is a challenge. Once you become proficient at killing in an easy ride, e.g. the SpitXVI, it's time to branch out and try some of the more challenging aircraft the game has to offer. You'll learn more that way because other aircraft don't compensate for your mistakes so much, whereas in a SpitXVI you can be successful even if the only time you've thought about energy was in selecting batteries at the grocery store.
And since we already discussed this in the other thread, I kill gobs of Spitfires for very few deaths to them. No, I don't furball with them, but I do rope them frequently and exploit bad merge tactics.
Anyway, yeah, it's your $15. What do you want to do with it?

I know for myself I don't get many people whining on 200 or PMing me with insults after I kill them. I'm not the best stick but I do OK, I put myself into a lot of bad situations and I'm usually willing to fight anything in anything.
I think that when a pilot generally recognized as better than someone beats them, then there's not much whining. On the other hand, when a pilot thought to be of lesser skill kills one who thinks they're better, there's more likelyhood of a whine from the percieved "better" piolt. Again, speaking for myself, I let out an occasional whine when someone I don't think is that good beats me, but it's usually as the result of a cheap shot (HO, ack hugging, ganging, etc.).
When like pilots meet, there's a high likelyhood of the victor rubbing it in, even if it's a short one-liner. Again, for me, those are the most likely times that I'll get a 200 response and there's a few guys that do this regularily.
As to aircraft, obviously some are more challenging than others. For the most part, yes, you can use your strengths and play your opponent's weaknesses, but, between like skilled pilots this becomes more and more difficult until the point that, between pilots of equal skill, the one with the better plane will win almost every time.
Then there are the times where you can't play your strengths to their weaknesses; being bounced by a high con, getting ganged, etc. These tend to be situations where the pilot with the disadvantage feels slighted and becomes vocal afer their loss. People say, well, you put youself in that position but that's just not always the case. What starts as a one on one might quickly develop into a one on many with little forwarning. If the one also happens to be in a disadvantaged plane then, again, they will feel that the fight might have been a little more fair.
That's just a few examples of where people might feel frustrated to the point of whining. I don't think it will ever end. It's just human nature. If everyone followed a strict code of sportsmanship in the arenas then maybe, but that will never happen, however, the occasional whine/nudge in that direction isn't really a bad thing.

TO the complainers: would you like some cheese with your whine?

axngoras sorry if i miss spelled your name i wasn't looking at it to get the correct spelling:) As you can tell I fly the spit not a 16 but an 8! I have been playing for 3 years and I am very proficient in just about every aircraft. They also each have there own wonderful capabilities! But on the backside of your point...... I will say that you do probably shoot down a lot of spits. The main reason is because like you said there are a lot there and most of them flown by inexperienced pilots! So I would agree with your statement that on normal basis there easy to shoot down. But If you come up against an experienced spit pilot the odds are they won't fall for being roped or chase you up when you have more E in the Vertical! My whole point with saying this is, that yes from the start they are easy but once you get very well at them they still will give you a challenge! There are still lots of moves i can pull for instance that couldn't be pulled of by any novice pilot.Sorry if the gram er in this is bad I had to answer really fast i was busy:)

p.s. But on a side note my other favorite planes are the 109f4 and the 190a5 So you 109 is a very fun plane!

bldegale I thought you would be right at one time. Until I did nothing but practice and practice and got pretty good.(not to Say I don't still make allot of mistakes or people can't beat me!) But it almost seems the better I get the more people complain? I try being very courteous but when you do that you'd be surprised how many people get more mad about it then? HHHHMMMM well I guess that one will be never figured out:)

:salute 20mmrain, my in game name is gavagai.

20mmrain short answer, if you died, you screwed up. Many people it seems have a hard time accepting this.
So they blame you, or the plane you were flying.
Its really not YOUR fault, or your planes fault at all.
Its their fault, and watching them try to blame you or your plane for thier lack of skill, SA, Gunnery, etc is both tragic and amusing at the same time.
Long story short, if they are complaining it was their mistake, don't lose sleep over it.

thanks ghosth I agree hole heatedly But its nice to hear that other people believe this too:)
