I know some of those airplanes have been already asked..I just wanted to make a good "wish post" with all details needed
The 3 view drawings are wery good and have all details needed to design the 3d model and the full rivets and pannels details needed for skinners.
The wing palette display the colours schemes, the number which flew and the year of operation (only URSS, some was operative in other countryes, just extend the search on wing palette to get the total number).

One question and one comment:
Isn't it USSR?
I wouldn't mind seeing more variety of bombers, especially if the next two released are the HE-111 and the P.108 to help even the odds of the axis' forces against the allies'. Then I would most definitely support these planes.
-
I want them all! :aok
-
Tu-2 would be the best fit for the AH2 game. It has dual 20mm cannons and 6600lb bomb load (max) with a cruising speed of 275mph @ 8500ft. Not bad at all for an attack plane, actually it acts more like a medium bomber in dive bomb mode. :D
Didnt see service until Jan of '44 and over 1100 we made. Many of them fought vs. the Japs in the east.
The Pe-2 wouldnt be a bad choice either. A much smaller gun package (dual .30cals) but still a great bomb load for an attack plane (2600lbs). Oh, and speed would better than Tu-2 with 336mph @ 8500ft. Started seeing use in fall of 1941.
-
that Yak-2 is sexy :aok
We just need them all, screw the He-111 !!!
-
Sure, continue your pathetic American dynasty.
-
All of them please, especially the Tu-8, Tu-2 and Pe-2.

Yes it's USSR keyboard trouble (mb need to sleep some more hours) :)
Don't misunderstand me, I think the heinkel 111 and 117 would be great in the game, and instead of the P108 i would prefer (or maybe too) the savoia marchetti, very beautifull airplanes (italians are master on design) but wich had a lot of engine and tecnical troubles... :)
I'm a Russian planes lover, I love the way of thinking of the russ engeniers "what miss cannot get broken". Theyr planes are simple, functionally and beautifull.
The russian airplanes are usually added in flight sims with the usuals lavochkin, yakovlev (we still miss the nr 3!!) and Ilyushin...but no one know the beautifull creatures of petlyakov (Pe-2 wich was in 1940 one of the fastest planes and the best light bomber of the early war), the Polikarpov (I16 "rata" is well know but I never saw it in any sim), Mikoyan (Mig-1 and the great Mig-3), Lavochkin (LaGG-3 wich was one of the best mid war light fighters) and all the family of sukhoy and tupolev airplanes. There is just a great lack of those planes instead of the well known "P" "B" "HE" "BF" "FW" series.

I suggested the P.108 because its an Axis Heavy Bomber which could have striking power comparable to that of the B-17.

It's also a very minor aircraft compared to say, the SM.79.
My list: Pe2, Tu2, He111, SM79, and G4M! :aok

btw if we can get both way better than only one :)

Were you referring to the P.108 saying its a very minor aircraft?
Yes. In fact, the P108 is in the B29/Gloster Meteor section IMO... According to wiki, only 24 of the P.108B bomber variant were built.. compared to 1,217 SM.79s.
-
Wow, all these planes would be really cool additions... That Yak-2 is sweet!!! :aok
-
I suggested the P.108 because its an Axis Heavy Bomber which could have striking power comparable to that of the B-17.
btw if you really want something wich can beat the B17 you should check out the G8N1...impressive bomber, but only 4 where build. From the Imperial Navy ordered it (1944) and the time it got produced (late 1944) the troubles in japan with the worsening war situation and the difficulty to find aluminium determined the abort of the production.
-
We could always do with more Yaks. :rock
-
Sure, continue your pathetic American dynasty.
Was that for me ? If yes, read my location and squad name in signature.
-
Noir, look at my location as well. Your real-world location has nothing to do with your life in-game. Fact is we have plenty of allied bombers in AH's plane-set. It's time to even the odds and give the Axis' forces something to fight with.
Btw there are others great axis bombers (as usual less known than He111 or the Piaggio 108) like....
<snip>
Bring on the Axis bombers! :aok
-
H8K2 'Emily' would be a far, far better addition than the P.108. They built a lot more of them too, and they were used a lot more.
-
P.108 was almost a non-entity in the war. Shouldn't be anywhere on the list of new things to add to AH anytime soon.
Emily is also extremely limited as far as its application to AH.
Right now the axis don't need a heavy bomber. Why? In the MA the allied bombers are available. Use them for heavy drops. In the SEA/scenarios/etc the axis won't have had a heavy bomber anyways, so they don't need it.
What is the point in pushing/forcing a heavy axis bomber, especially when your only choices are rare bombers that had little to no service life?
Far more important to fill out the axis bomber set with the bombers that actually represent the historical forces. The MAs will see to themselves. The SEA/scenarios are what need help, and they need lighter, earlier, bombers.
-
The Do-217 saw lots of action and even sank the Roma: 4000kg of bombs doesn't make it a heavy?
-
The Do-217 saw lots of action and even sank the Roma: 4000kg of bombs doesn't make it a heavy?
The bombload itself is not the definition of "heavy" -- heavy is a large bomber, often 4 engines, with a number of defensive guns. Heavy bombers, basically, defend themselves. Medium/light bombers require escorts. It's more the role and way in which they are used, rather than the payload delivered. B-17 regularly carried 5k on missions, only 1k more than many light bombers. However its size and its range and the strategic way it was employed mean it was a heavy bomber.

that Yak-2 is sexy :aok
We just need them all, screw the He-111 !!!
Oh for pooping out loud.
I can hear the thunderous sound of Skuzzy's I.P. banhammer,Noir. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
-
I VOTE YES!!
Helm ...out
-
PE-2 has been mentioned many times before and would be a good fit. DO-217 has been mentioned often as well and would be a GREAT idea.
Hard to argue against many of the a/c mentioned in this thread. :)
-
IF only three could be inroduced in the next 12 months, I'd pick:
1) Pe-2
2) Yak-4
3) P.108 (just 'cause the RA needs something with bombs)
