You forget that believing in evolution is having a religion.

You forget that believing in evolution is having a religion.
Your so deep into your book of religious argue points, you wouldn't know. Evolution is a process, not a religion. I do not practice evolution, it just happens! :aok

You believe in a man's word which started a theory. It still hasn't been proven. Or would you like to come back in a few million years to tell me wrong?
You're a follower of darwin's theory, therefore a follower of him. Get over it, its a religion - a theory - not a fact.
-
hey Denholm,
The Church of England is to apologise to Charles Darwin for its initial rejection of his theories, nearly 150 years after he published his most famous work.
Here you go , Darwin (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/religion/2910447/Charles-Darwin-to-receive-apology-from-the-Church-of-England-for-rejecting-evolution.html)

shhhh. The truth can get you killed... or even worse.. excommunicated.

blah, blah, blah, evolution is a process in place and is as real as mankind is able to determine. It is most certainly not a religion by any stretch of the word. :aok

You for got that he was once a Black Panther in Oakland

We Don't "believe",it's just that it doesn't require the suspension of disbelief to adhere to the theory of Evolution, and it is backed up by a wealth of evidence, which is why it can reasonably be considered fact.
The theory of Evolution is the product of painstaking observation and experiment.Firm conclusions are only drawn, when rigorous examination consistently supports the hypothesis.
On the other hand,Creationism begins with it's conclusion:God exists, made everything in a week less than 7,000 years ago,has unlimited power, and - indications to the contrary notwithstanding - Loves you an awful lot. ;)

Over here in the colonies, we don't charge extra for the space bar... comes right on the keyboard. Makes it easy for us to liberally screw with the speakers of the parent dialect we stole the language from.

Please, by all means. Make an examination and prove to me the process.
With so much knowledge that the process apparently, "exists." Please tell me, then prove to me what man will do and what they will look like 1 million years from now. If that's too challenging, how about a moth? Please, by all means. Explain what a moth will look like and eventually do in 1 million years. And if that's still too challenging, ask your friend darwin to explain why atoms were flying around in nothing eventually exploding becoming something.

Wow, just noticed the title of the thread. Sorry for the hijack. I'll back out now and return when the topic is regarding my argument.

says that Christians, in their response to Darwin's theory of natural selection, repeated the mistakes they made in doubting Galileo's astronomy in the 17th century.

I am constantly amazed by people's misunderstanding about the definition of "theory" in a science setting.
Denholm, it would be the "hypothesis" of evolution the way you portray it.

methinks skyrock should take a break from the board for a while.......if he cant get along with the other kids.

No....Hypothesis = Educated guess.
You use evidence to deny or support your hypothesis.

Don't know about a million years from now but I can predict if it is in my house it will look like this one. (http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/6010/moth5cc3.th.jpg) (http://img87.imageshack.us/my.php?image=moth5cc3.jpg)

Many holes in evolution as compared to natural selection. I believe darwin warned us of this.

does anyone else find it odd that a thread started about me.. who is pretty non religious.. turns into a thread on religion?

What I find odd, is that a thread started about you, isn't about you at all but is instead about attention for someone who thinks they need it. ;)

on a serious note, the counselor at my school offered to sell me a 38 revolver for $80. It works well, he says, and if so, is it a decent buy?
