sure seems like the tail comes off easy when you land ! still testing tho

I noticed this too... except I was taking off, noticed I didn't lock my tail wheel, pulled back on the stick and broke the tail off. I did it twice actually.

Yep, you can not use your breaks hard and let the tail drop or it will break off!

Confirmed. Tail bounce removes the tail.
Try 1 flew around some, came back for an intentionally hard landing. I kept the tail after slamming into the ground, but it came off during braking.
Try 2 I choped the throttle and dropped the gear right after the gear retracted from auto takeoff and landed. After braking, when the tail dropped it came off.
Try 3 I never left the runway, at 100 IAS I cut throttle and rode the brakes. As soon as the tail dropped, it came off.
Edit: Try 4 I used auto-takeoff until the tailwheel lifted, then chopped throttle and applied brakes. I lost the tail. Film sent to HT.

while on subject of the F6F, the elvators seem to come off rather easy...never had it happen before to me, couple squaddies noticed it to.

N1K has always done this :) welcome to the club!
F6F = N1K
the way to get around it is lay off the brakes. let the tail settle, THEN gently brake.

found the issue on f6f and will be resolved on patch.

:aok doesn't boher me too nuch but squadies will be happy ty

It is now better since the patch.
I can now only make the tail break off without lifting the main wheels off of the runway in 2 configurations:
75% fuel clean
100% fuel, 2 1K bombs and rockets.
In any other combination of fuel, ord and speed (short of taking off), I get no failures.
If you simply release the brakes for a split second and then reapply them, there are no problems in those 2 configurations.
Also, if you chop the throttle and jump on the brakes just as the tail lifts there are no problems.
If will only fail if you allow about 1 second of acceleration after the tailwheel lifts before standing on the brakes (in one of those 2 configurations.)
I consider it fixed.
The new views are also great! :rock
