Title: Blogging, Bloggers & Blog Services
Post by: eskimo2 on September 20, 2008, 10:51:09 AM
So I agreed teach a seminar how-to on blogging.  I have a blog; but it’s really more of a website with a blog page than a regular blog from a blog service.  I ran my high school reunion website/webpage through a service that functions very much like a blog service (I think); so I have a clue how they might work.  I have not, however, used a regular blog service for a regular blog.  I plan on doing some research, but I thought I’d start here.  What I’m looking for in this thread is some real-world user insight: What service do you use and do you like it?  Is it free but places ads on your page?  Do you pay for an ad free page?  What other insight do you have?

My blog

This one is very popular locally (and very good!). Barry is asked to speak about his blog and blogging frequently and is often mentioned on TV and in newspapers.

TV writer John Daly's NASCAR blog (also very good!)

I use Blogger but Wordpress is also very popular.
