Venturas?

"The flying pig."

I think they were in service for about 18 months or so - 21, 464 and 464 Squadrons converted from them to Mosquitos in autumn of '43 after 2 Group had left Bomber Command for 2nd TAF.

Naw, I think those were 11000' trees and houses.  Looked to be a couple of 14k or 15k tall smoke stacks too.  With the people I saw running I was really expecting to see a huge beanstock somewhere.  Especially with all those 3K' tall giants running around.

Thanks for the heads up.  There are many vids there on WWII aircraft.  I just spent almost an hour watching Mossi vids.  :D

Your explanation is spot on.  It is amazing how tall people were back then.  It is amazing how accurate those 12k noe raids were ;) :devil

The Mossi was slightly smaller at just 6800 feet.

I think the Vultee was 5k... but my memory is a bit hazy.  Think it must be the emissions from those two year old, 200' tall Evergreen's in the Denver area....
