Check your soundpack.

Mine makes lots of noise so it must be on your end. If its only that model then its not your volume slider either.

Bastid is hard to kill with an Il2. Two passes and I completely disabled a panzer, track, engine and turret. I made 5+ on the T34/85 form high, low, front, rear and side to absolutely no avail. After a bunch of other aircraft piled on it and a friendly tank hit it, I was finally awarded a kill but the T34 was entirely impervious to my attacks, even track hits.

I've used the T34/85 a lot since the update, and I've been killed, tracked, and lost my turret to IL-2s quite a few times.  I'm going to say, without offense intended, that you just need to shoot a little better.

The T34/85mm is a monster, just like Goliath.  It will rip you apart until you hit it between the eyes (actually, anywhere on the turret).

The T34/85mm is too soft and fragile like it's older cousin.  The turret is made of cheese.

None taken, but thats what I thought too.

I made an effort to concentrate on seperate areas of the tank. Turret, front side and back, tacks, high side armour, rear armour etc. I re-armed 3 times.

Using the same method I had used on the T34 with no greater accuracy, I completely disabled a Panzer in two passes and damaged it enough so that when it was killed by a friendly tank, I was awarded the kill.

That left me scratching my head a little.

Panzer IV's armor is, as I recall, notably thinner than the T-34's.  If you could disable a Tiger easier that would be an issue.

The IL-2 is not puncturing the glacis on any tank, so no need to comment on the T-34's front or side armor compared to the Panzer IV's.  Just the deck armor, top of turret armor and rear armor matter for this discussion.

The cannon on the 85 is a beast...however, it can't take a hit at all. I've had m-8s even shrug off 1 shell but in the 85 I'm dead first hit all the time.
