When you design a map you put several fixed fields and ports, but also mark a lot of places as "suitable" to have a field. These places have "deactivated" and "invisible" fields that could be built via goons or M3. These places are shown in the map as "suitable" field places, when you drop enough goods over it the suitable place is replaced by a very small field with a single grass runaway, 4 acks and 2 FHs owned by your country. These fields have no city nor supply lines. When its acks and hangars are destroyed, the field is "deactivated" again. It dissapears and is replaced in the map by a "suitable" place again. This way we'll be able to have "temporary" fields much closer to the enemy fixed ones.
As an added feature, these fields could have only early plane-set available.

seems like a pretty good idea to me except I have no idea what the "early planes only" thought is all about... That part doesn't make any sense to me.
As a gameplay idea tho, temporary fields would be novel and fun. sorta like land based CV groups.. Action woulds center around em.
One problem tho is that laser guide bombs launched by the enemies of fun could make em pretty useless pretty quickly and pretty often.

"early planes only" means only extremely cheap planes: 109F, C202, SpitV, 190A5, and so on.
And yep, they can be destroyed pretty quickly if not well defended by CAP.

Hehe, I would prefer a more "intelligent" placing of airfields.
As in, no mountains or hills in FRONT of every runway, and NOT in a depression, surrounded by high fields.
I gotta learn how to use the damn terrain editor.. is there a guide for dummies (like me) for it?
