Title: yeah...I kind of back
Post by: Pander on September 27, 2008, 09:36:37 AM
I played this game a loooong time ago and just reinstalled a few days ago. Boy it feels nice to be the pilot's seat :)
After spending about 14 hours reading from the trainers' website, aerodynamics, basic maneuvers, landing techniques *has no life* I tried some myself. What I still don't get is how one can tell how much he or she is turning based on degrees.
And the server still remembers me from my last 2 weeks trial, so my time is out :/

In the artificial horizon, there are usually markings that signify 30 degrees and 90 degrees, so if you guesstimate that 60 degrees is halfway be tween the two, you are pretty well off. Otherwise, guesstimations are the way to go.

If you're talking about direction commands in degrees (such as '090', '180', and '270'), these are referring to degrees on the compass, with 360/000 being due north, 090 being due east, 180 being due south, and 270 being due west, with many increment in between (which IIRC are marked every 30 degrees or so). All of these are marked on in-game compasses.

Kay' thanks, I'll try that as soon as I can.
