Title: Where were you when your Google Earth satellite photo was taken?
Post by: eskimo2 on September 27, 2008, 07:10:03 PM: I’ve never been able to find myself. I can fairly presume that I was wherever my car was at the time, which wasn’t at home or work or the lake that I often visit. It was taken in the fall or maybe the spring because there are no leaves on the trees. The shadows suggest about 5:00 P.M., so I could have been on my way home from work, or maybe it was a weekend. The photos in my area, and most areas, are really old now; I wish they’d update them.

You can copy the Lat. Long. Numbers from the bottom of the Google Earth screen in this simple format:

41 07 15.45 N 81 23 59.72 W

Then anyone can paste it into the search/ Fly to box. (That’s my house, by the way)

I’ve had a few students actually find themselves in their yards; pretty cool if you ask me.
