Looks like the Katie Couric interview did more damage than first thought. Now conservatives are calling for her to step down and a FOX News analysts admits she's out of her league. (http://features.csmonitor.com/politics/2008/09/28/can-sarah-palin-survive-in-the-age-of-youtube/)
It also gave Tina Fey and Amy Pohler a goldmine for a new SNL skit (http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/couric-palin-open/704042/).

Every interview that she gives is damage until she becomes a standard liability for the Repubs wannabe image (what ever that might be). The sooner they realize that the sooner they are going to avoid a political “CFIT”
-
Tina Fey and Amy Pohler are gems...
Tronsky

She does no worse than Biden does. Still some Dems are asking Biden to step down so it cuts both ways.
Personally I'm not that worried about the VP. I think the Presidential candidate should be the primary focus.

Exactly! :rock

Mud slinging being supported by the media in an election year. Who`d a thunk it?
-
News flash for ya rpm, Fox News actually is fair and balanced (well, at least compared to the other news outlets) and they have some analysts who are lefties.
-
I love the foreign diplomacy crap they keep giving her. Kind of like how that story in Time from December 2007 about Obama's lack of foreign diplomacy experience...
Amazing how that has been forgotten. Or are we expecting Biden to do all the talking to the people 'over there.'

That might not be a bad idea. Snooze Control Biden could easily put them in a deep state of sleep. We could then raid the hen house.

I still like her, as does a good % of the people whose vote she is going to need. Come November I'd suspect we'll see how much everyone liked McCain's idea of picking her as his running mate.
Ether that, or a bevy of lawyers will hold up the results of the election one way or another.
Who wants to bet Florida screws something up again?

The problem is, with McCain's age... Well, many people are pretty worried about the VP.
Of course, he only has to make it through the first term, and he has a mother who looks great for... What, 92? But still...
-
they are saying now that the VP debate has had rules altered at the request of McCains camp. No follow up questions.
If this is true then you can say good bye to any chance of McCain as President.
Too bad really.

If Palin were such a liability you would think that the Democrats wouldn't have to try so hard to destroy her. Something tells me they think she is a threat to Obama- despite only being a running mate.

WHAT?? :huh
Fox is too Right-wing
MSNBC is too Left-Wing
CNN is just right :D
but NPR is the way to go personally :huh

One thing is for sure: The Couric interview totally lowered expectations..........to the point where total failure on Palins part is the "expectation"
Palin could reach 50% in a debate and that would be a home run.
I wonder if this is a Rove style set up? I sure a hell hope so ;)

Makes you wonder doesn't it...? It wouldn't surprise me at all.

One problem with Palin is that the campaign handlers are the same ones who handled Bush... That isn't just made up, it is a fact... In my mind, those guys need to be fired. They have her off cowering in a corner, they are scared of her being exposed at all for fear of an error. I say that is the WRONG approach... Let her go out and truly be herself and let the chips fall where they may.
But I do think it was a wise move to massively lower expectations of her after her initial groundswell of popularity (and controversy too).
I like Sarah Palin, far more than I do McCain - But I dislike McCain and osamabama so much that I still cannot vote for the ticket... I am sticking with a proven conservative who I agree with on more issues than I disagree with him on, Bob Barr.
-
The pundits are going crazy over the fact that Fey only had to repeat Palin verbatim for the skit to be funny. :rofl

well i still think she is hot!!!
but im just a dumb ol redneck,
beside how could she mess this train wreck up anymore than it already is?
the press bashing her might draw some of the heat off of wall street, long enough for it to atleast find it;s feet for a moment!
