Recently I've been flying the tiffy a lot and have noticed it brings a lot more whining. I wonder what planes you fly that you get the most complaints in?
The two situations that really stand out in my mind because of how silly the complaints were are these:
Situation 1: I'm in my tiffy with about 50% fuel left and doing about 400mph on the deck. A 262 passes over me about 5k above and its obvious he wants to engage. I keep my speed up and pretend I don't see him until he flys over me, 180s and starts to dive in on my 3 o'clock. I do a 2g pull out and roll into him. He pulls off, does a quick yo-yo and re-engages. I'm still doing 300+ and again roll back into him. We merge in a HO and I ping him. He disengages and goes on to other (easier) kills. Soon after he dies and then comes onto 200 and whines for half an hour about how I must be cheating because there is now way I could have maneuvered with him like that and on and on. I simply kept my nose down and energy up until he was close, then pulled hard on him to make sure he didn't get an easy pass.
Situation 2: I'm with a (very good pilot) country mate in a 3 v 2 way deep near an enmy base. Its a spit, yak and pony vs my country mates pony and my tiffy. I splash one pony, as the enmy spit takes down my wingman. Now its 2 v 1 and I'm low on E, on the deck, and looking at 2 planes that can out turn me. Of course I do the only thing that will keep me alive and run like hell. Soon after the spit pulls off and its the yak at 1+k chasing me. Right away he gets on 200 and starts taunting the typical "run home tiffy" type stuff, little does he know that is NOT my plan. I get to 2k and pull a 180 as hard as I can to engage in an Ho. Neither of us fire at the ho, we maneuver for a minute or 2 where I get 2 firing solutions but cant land hits, he gets no shots on me, then he has E advantage and turn advantage, again and I extend. Again with the 200 taunting, and again I extend to 2k, turn and engage. Once again I get solutions but cant land hits (high angle snapshots). This time as we are turning another country mate in a pony comes to help me and within 2 minutes the yak is down. Again back on 200 and all kinds of trash talking about how I ran and called for help, blah blah blah. I offer a DA or anything to shut him up, but he is only happy to complain.
Anyway these are just my two stories that really stand out in my mind, but I have gotten a lot of flak recently flying the tiffy, where normally in other planes I never hear anything. In both situations I was using the strong points of the plane to keep the fight in my favor, and each situation I get the whining. I think people forget this is basically an ACM simulator, and get pissed when you use ACM to out fly them. :rofl Personally I think its funny that people get so mad, and it makes flying the tiffy even more fun!
So what plane do you fly that brings the most complaints, and what situations make people complain the most?

I rarely see well flown, aggresive Typh's. I would give you a compliment.
Helm ...out

I got lucky a few weeks ago and caught a Temp on the deck with low E. I was in a heavy-gun package 190A-5 at 5K and chewed him to bits on my first pass. I caught hell on 200 and PMs for nearly 10 minutes, accused of everything from aimbots to picking, to things my mom did before I was born! :lol
I don't think it matters what you fly really, you're always going to shoot someone down who thinks he was robbed/hoed/cheated/etc.
I completely agree though, that if players paid attention to ACM, they'd improve their odds dramatically.

When I fly an La7 from a field being horded, and they cry it's unfair. Pitty.

+1, most typhs are flown for every possible HO opportunity.

They are called high angle snapshots! :devil

Typhies rock :aok
as for complaints, irrelevant. Most of the best sticks are really cool and who cares what some twit says on 200. This whole game is irrelevant except for the amount of fun you have, and the enjoyment you garner from flying your favorite aircraft.

For me, it's simple...the P-38J.

Lesson 1.
You have never, and will never, shoot anyone down in the "right" way. You either had an advantage, or were in a superior plane, or you were hacking, or they were AFK.
The only thing you can do to be "right" in the eyes of the bandit is die often and easily.
I don't want to be right.

You have such a pessimistic view of this community :D
No one's ever said, "Wow, nice fight, Sir!" or "Good kill!" to you?

I don't fly plans like La, spit, nik, ect. The only thing i do fly that is a adventage is 262. I will fly pony, F6F, 190 and get shot down by la, spit yak, temp. Yea, piss me off but i get over it too. There may be once that i kill a B-25 while landing with a p-47. The person got on 200 and told me i have no skills for shooting down a b-25. So what dose he do, up in a La7 and ran me down. Man, talk about the kettle calling the pot black.
The best thing to do, get the hell off 200. It created to much emotions.
-
the me109 get me the most complaints, not that I pull any special move to beat someone, just them flying n1k getting shot down
by a 30eny aircraft gives them a reason to cry/whine
-
I get some comments no occasion when I destroy or damage planes with the rear 20mms in the Ar234. No one really expects it in the first place, either forgetting they are there or even not knowing there are rear guns on the jet bomber.
10 Kills last tour in Ar234s. Over half were air to air.

I think this community is decidedly above average, as far as humans in general go! :devil
And I really must remember to attach smiley faces to more of my posts. :D

I was killed 3 times last tour by AR234s...I'm fairly certain it was you each time, Mak! <S> Great gunnery, Sir!

I get more annoyed when you give someone a compliment and they either 1. ignore you or 2. think you are whining about getting killed when you tell them "excellent shot sir <S>".

Lol. <S> Patches, however I don't think it was me each time - I'm not THAT good. Thank you for the recognition though. :) Rooks do have an Ar234 squad (Steel Rain) and many of them are profficient with the guns on the Ar234, so it could have been one of them as well.
I have come across you and your Corsair a few times that I wasn't in a jet though, hehe. Good flying <S>

Hurri I is the only plane that ever got someone to suggest I might be fooling with the code.

I love the La-7 when it's low, easy free perks :P
:D
I think the plane I get the most complaints out of is my P-51. I guess it's because people rarely see someone fly it as aggressively as I do. I'll take it up, and turn till the enemy is on my six, more than a few times, someone will get careless and let me go over the top (the P-51's flaps feel almost designed for that) and I'll come down for an easy kill. That's what usually gets people mad.
Or when I make a lucky 600 yard out Tater shot from my P-39.

It didn't happen unless you have video! :D

Ummm... 51D I guess.
Same old stuff tonight: I killed 1BDSPADE as he flat turned in an LA7. He called me a picker....... except he wasn't engaged with anyone.

I had a "dweeb tater" comment about my 109K-4 today on 200. :D

Anybody that is with JG 11 will have a nasty comment on 200. jk
Well, 109s are tough birds to fly. Some people think they can turn as good as a spit, but theres a lot more involve for that to happen.
-
Definitely the Typhoon. It's the 50 calibre sniper rifle of the air. All you need to kick bellybutton is SA, E management and the best aim you can possibly employ. It's a pure shootists plane. Enemy pilots usually never get the chance to out-fly it or end up dead in spite of out-flying it. In the hands of an expert marksman it's a devastating weapon system. There's not many planes in the set equipped with the guns and frontal deflection view necessary to get high deflection shots to win fights that you were losing otherwise via angles.
-
I got the most complaints ever once vulching M3's at the spawn in a 163, I think I landed 5 of them :lol
What made it even sweeter was it was 2 sectors from the 163 base :rofl

Ya, except its got Hispano 20mm. :rock

I agree with you there. Also it is amazingly stable and has a good initial turn rate even at high speed. Its practically made for snapshots.
I've never flown the tempest but I am going to take it out this tour. I imagine its everything the tiffy is but better.

The Tempest is literally a Typhoon on steroids. Everything the Typhoon does the Tempest does a little better. Most notably it's significantly better at turning at all speeds due to its slightly thinner wing and rolls a bit better, the roll rate still sucks goat, but it's notably improved.

The only two complaints I've ever gotten:
One was me in an F4U-1A, rtb extremely light on gas (end of my sortie and cruising) vs a SpitXVI. Can't remember the pilot's name off-hand, but he was a fairly well-regarded Spit driver. We get into it and mix it up, and after a looping, twisting fight at moderate speed I get a shot and put him down. He comes up on PM whining that "I was on the PHONE you @#$%!"
ROFL! Then WTF are you doing over MY base?!
Number two was me once again in my 1A. I was helping provide local defense for a base that had been getting beaten on when I encountered a 109. We engaged at moderately low altitude in another looping fight, lots of high and low-yos, etc, neither of us getting much of a shot. As we're engaged a two more cons come in above us and move to roll in. I still have a decent amount of airspeed as the fight with the 109 had been fairly open, and to avoid getting pinned down by a couple pickers while trying to deal with the 109 I decide it's time to pull back. I dive out shallowly to extend away from both opponents, not into the ack but in the general direction of my field where one or two friendlies were circling for altitude, more to give the high cons something else to deal with so I can finish off the 109.
The plan more or less works out. The high cons go down or are chased off, and after a short fight I finish off the 109. No sooner does he go into the ground but he's on 200 whining about me running. Apparently it's perfectly fine to dogpile someone, but god forbid you egress!
Not long after I'm back at altitude when I spot a lone 109. Arrogantly he posts on 200 "Lol F4U, want to try it again?"
We roll in and engage again, another looping fight with some extension until we both get down on the deck. I get a good shot in that takes out his engine oil and eventually finish him off. Not so smug THIS time.
The funny thing is that the 109 pilot was yet ANOTHER well-regarded stick....

The Ki-84. But not many people complain about me.

Well, based on the name, if any one said "nice BnZ" he would not be giving him a compliment :rofl
-
Rarely do I get a compliment. I also have 5 solid reasons I don't. The P I L O T .
-
Personally, and I don't why I prefer this, I like the fact that anyone that can shoot me down with a ENY 30 or higher, goes up in my book. Most people who fly the high ENY fighters result in a HO/ poor maneuvering ACMs. The only thing I like to fly around with a high ENY is the Hurri1. The Hurri1 turns great and has good guns if you know how to use them, it get high perks as well. Other than that plane, I fly the F4Us, mostly the 1D and very rarely, the Chog. Most Hogs fly excellent and are fun to watch a spixteen get beat by a heavier slower airplane, in regards acceleration.
Back to a situation were people got mad at me. I was flying an F6F last night, just getting used to the new planes. I got about to 8K and went level. I saw a friendly in some big trouble, 3v1 and all three were on his 6. I got 2 of them off and got low and slow on the process. I killed the one con that was left on the guys six. I get continuous "Check six" call saying that there is two on me. So the other two that broke off are the spit and Tiffie on the other friendlies six. So I thought to myself "no biggie, nothing new." I pull them into a tight left turn and got two flaps down. I pulled the quick reversal and got a shot on the Tiff, down he went. I get in a hard fight with the spit, when two ponies, one D model and the other B model. I broke off and pulled a fast turn on those guys, the B model take a fuel out on me, just the auxiliary. I now have the spit on my six, the two ponies pickin and no one to help, or so it seemed. Outta no were, one of my squaddies picks the spit off my tail. The D pony ran back to ack, and the B model stayed and got killed.
So I somehow managed to get away, from the disadvantage, and the picks from these guys.

While I've never actually had someone call me out/complain about it. I can't help but wonder what someone is thinking when they take a 37mm from a 9T at 800 yards out. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, I smile on the inside :aok

I had one tour with 50 kills in the Ar234. About 30 were A2A, the rest were air to GV
Honestly though, most people complain when I out turn their Spit or LA in my 38.

Unfortunately, I am not good enough to regale you all with tales of cartoon combat. Though, there is always tomorrow.

Last night while defending the airbase at TT from the horde invasion i was mostly using my favorite close in and personal knife fighter the zeek. in the course of and hour of flying defense i received 9 compliments on my turning and twisting inside the belly of the horde and multiple salutes for the same. these did not come from my ability to single handily destroy the inbound invaders, i believe i only managed a few kills, but instead were awarded to me on my ability to get multiple planes bobbing and weaving twisting and turning trying to kill the damn skeeter that got inside the bed net!
although i didn't turn the tide of the capture, i sure as hell annoyed the invaders!

Although, when someone accused me of cheating in a p38 it made my day.

Ahhhh surprised nobody mentioned the famous Spitfire
Lots who get shot down by a spitfire is called a NEWBY with no SKILLS :rofl
A skilled pilot with any spitfire can cause you grief ;)

Ran into a Spit XIV last night at about 15k. He KEPT climbing to 25k before diving to the deck and trying to run home.
