*shrug* Those are just pictures from the last SAPP night when we all tried to land after a sortie.  Any landing where you are carried out by a stretcher is a good landing in our book.

Are you able to post coherent sentences or is that beyond your intelligence level?

This might help so you don't look like an uneducated squeaker each time you post.

USE PUNCTUATION, PLEASE!  Good god.

Looking back, it's too bad we didn't save more of those aircraft for museums... :(

Typical government waste. By 1948, they were selling them for $1500 so, surplus. Look at those pictures and see how much money was wasted there. Hell, they could have been sold to friendly nations who needed affordable military aircraft. Each one of those planes was nearly brand new, and cost about $100,000, plus whatever equipment was hung on it later.

Sadly, that made more sense and was easier to read than what glock typed.

My personal favorite is a small Japanese pillbox on Iwo Jima.  They took the rear fuselage of a Zero/Ki-84 (I couldn't tell which) and stacked/cemented rocks around the skin.  Its still inside the rocks--that aluminum weathers pretty well.  I think I might have a picture of it laying around somewhere...

I know they use cars and planes to block roads i believe.

$1.5 million and up.

$1.5 million and up.

Far more then that now.  Glacier Girl was closer to a 10 million dollar bird when it was sold as I understand it.

Mustangs are in the 1.5 range and they are far more numerous.  38s are like gold.  I'd think 5 mil if you could find one that somone wants to sell.

Anyone ever attempted to dig into one of those "graveyards"? Seems to me it wouldnt hurt to try? Even if your recover 5% of what they buried thats still a lot of parts and pieces.

There have been attempts to do that, but so far nothing is going well. The guy leading the attempts is the same guy who found Tommy McGuire's crash site.

Lots of rumors about digs near Clark Field, but nothing substantiated that I've seen.

No one has actually been allowed to really dig, to my knowledge. In any event, it'd be extremely expensive, and the buried stuff would be badly damaged. They'd need ground radar to make sure they dug in the right place, unless they have new information. Even if they were able to find the planes and dig them up, the rest of the job, getting permission to export, followed by arranging for and paying for shipping.

try this:
Oh I love how you make fun of people . Just trying to get my point out there ; God kill me if i were to miss spell now!

Notice the  clarity of that sentence. How easy it is to follow your trail of thought. I also change some of the wording to get a greater sense of distress and angst. Thus with these simple measures (plus firefox)  you could deflect most of the flak directed at you.
