What I've been waiting for for months, duck season. It's 5:40 AM, camo's on, gun's in the truck, coffee's ready, and this is my last sentence and I'm out the door. Good luck to all who are going today.

And I'm going deer hunting tomorrow. Just checked my gear and re-checked my bow. We're leaving here at 3:30 in the morning.

Had an overall good hunt. Shot a few Woodies and a mallard that made the mistake of landing in the wrong spot :) .
I nearly mistook one of my decoys for a duck after a stick floating down stream hit it and made the decoy look like it came to life. Hit another one that flew over but it swam up stream with it's wounded wing. Not a half bad day, but it could have been better. If only half the time I had my gun drawn while they flew over 10 feet above me...:furious

Duck season starts here next weekend. My Archery elk is in the freezer. :rock
