...will the defeated congressmen say was the reason?

Democrats: We should have spent more
                We should have enacted the fairness doctrine

Republicans: We should have told them we're going to spend less and spent more.
                  We just couldn't get our message out.

Lets be clear....there will be no cleaning of this house.  The fight is done.  That world, the one we used to live in that allowed individual freedom, died long ago.
