Was diving in from very hi today on a set of B-24's, and my speed got up around 500 in a P-47.
Well, I make a habit of leaving myself room when diving in from above so that I can pass behind bombers without striking them with my plane, and I just had the perfect setup.
I opend fire from d900 and caught him right in the wing root so that he caught fire and exploded, at this point I relaxed pressure on the stick so id pass just aft and below him,and my speed would carry me away for another hi pass.
At this point he had just exploded and I just knew I was going to get all three of these guys when his second drone warped right infront of me severing a wing and sending me lawndarting into the sea in a state of rage I havnt felt in a while... he didnt get the kill.....hell he never knew what hit him, but that ain't the point.
I've noticed that if you blow up a bomber there is an almost emediate warp that reorients the second drone, now im not talking about a nice gentle turn to get into a left-wing formation here....I mean an instantaniouse 20 Ton magical brick wall that is more effective against enemy fighters than any gun could possibly be.
Usualy im slow enough to avoid this, but today after spending the time to get a 47N to 15,000ft, and converting all that alt into ALOT of momentum all I could do was throw things about my little room and curse the world that surely seemd out to get me.
Its hard enough to fight physics in a plane going too fast to manuever well AND set up a shot without having David Blaine in a bomber magicaly appear infront of you.
Can we fix this guy's? Pretty PLEASE :pray
or just tell me what order to kill the bombers in so there aint no warp...

This goes along with bombers warping to stay in formation. It's a real fun killer.

Right drone, left drone, lead plane.

Thanks Lusche

Yup.. It does telegraph what your intended target is going to be. Buff pilot jumps to targeted drone to get best vantage point. Wish they would just poof and remain in their slot.

that's why i hate seeing someone go for one of my drones first.......i then know it's someone that knows what they're doing.

Would really love a reply from the staff on this...

simply adjust your tactics dude.......if you're far enough away, you can;t hit them........
i'm not tryin to be a wise arse........

leave the buffs alone and look for a fighter. Their guns or their warping will get you 9 out of 10 times. Not really worth the effort.

In the 4+ years, i never had much luck with shooting bombers down. :cry :cry :cry

THANK you. Someone else has noticed.
In some ways, the heavy buff formation is the most unbalancing item in the game.

That's because so many people attack from 6 o'clock. 9 out of 10 AH fighter pilots are willing to receive significant structural, or even critical, damage to their plane in order to shoot one bomber out of a formation. Despite the magical "n" key (for which I do not have a better solution), AH does well at representing the historical tactics required to shoot down bombers. Make your attacks at high speed and from the front quarter of the target.

I am confused here. How does that solve the sniper guns or the warp?

It minimizes your exposure to the defensive fire, it doesn't help the warps.

While true in theory, I think that is what the whines are about. A couple of pings from 1K out is enough to end your flight

Yeah, my cartoon pilot has been wounded from amazing distances attacking bombers, it's true. I think things would be very different if the defensive guns weren't all linked together.

even as one that flys them, and depends on that extra firepower, i agree.
