I have seen threads honoring the great folks who have helped them in the game . This one is to thank acknowledge someone from the game that helped you in real life .
Mine is Lew/Silat . He helped me with various computer issues , the right way to handle wife ack <get off the game for a bit > . Checking out a European modeling agency to see if it was ligit , so a dad could sleep at night . One other thing that is a little too private to comment on here . Lew you are the best and your advice has been spot on every time . <S> my friend .

I've got some great ones.
Corky, for being so kind as to send me some absolutely GREAT books which I really treasure.
Widewing, for sending me his old X-45 so I wouldn't have to fly with a mouse.
Nonsense, for attempting to hijack my bill despite my insistance that he not.
Batfink, for always being the first one to remind me to cool off, and not take some of the crap here too seriously
Overlag, for being there when I needed to b**** and complain about the real world
I'm sure there are others Im forgetting, and if so Im very sorry.

I do work in a non-profit organization ~ one of the programs we're running is a gown closet, in which any military spouse can check out a gown (for free). With these unit's deploying so often, it's expensive for families to pay for gowns for each ball before & after deployments (result: soldiers don't attend).
Several of my squaddies have been sharing this info with their wives, who have donated gowns to our closet. It's a much bigger help to these soldiers & families around here then I was able to express to them.
(Thank you!!!!!! :D)
<S> to my Squaddies, who are the best folks ever. :)
